The sun was slowly rising, streaming in through the curtains as the blonde haired boy rose from his sleep however, everything seemed....different....happier than normal only he couldn't work out what it was. That was when he realised the girl with blue hair who was leaning against his shoulder.
"Oh yeah..." He mumbled to his self as he remembered what had happened early that morning. Him and Ayumi had sat and talked for hours before they both got so tired that they fell asleep.
"...Hmmm...." Ayumi mumbled as she woke up as well. She rubbed her eyes as she saw him, looking shocked at first before she remembered everything that had happened that night.
"Hi..." Ayumi mumbled quietly as she sat up, rubbing her eyes again.
"Morning." Yoshiki replied as they both stood up and stretched.
"About last night..." Ayumi started "You don't have to stay but please don"t stay on the streets. Please."
"Okay." Yoshiki replied "I might not stay but I promise I'll try to stay off the streets."
To this, Ayumi nodded, happy at his answer.
"So, do you want to do something?" Yoshiki asked
"I might be able to later but I'm supposed to go and visit my sister first." Ayumi replied.
"Okay, I might just go around town for a while then." Yoshiki said as Ayumi got up to go and brush her hair.

It didn't take long for the two to get ready and soon enough, they were walking through the middle of town as Ayumi made her way to her sister, Hinoe's house. Her sister had to move when she turned eighteen due to a lack of space in the orphanage. She had moved quite close by and had found a job at a local corner shop. Ayumi still visited her whenever possible which was usually every weekend. She had been so lost in thought, she didn't realise that Yoshiki had headed off into a shop She knew that this wasn't the best part of town and so she quickened her pace, checking down every alleyway. Just as she thought it was clear, she heard the voice of someone behind her. Their voice sounded slurred and she could practically smell the alcohol on him.
"Whe..re...do y..ou th....ink..you'..re go..ing.." They asked, their voice sounding odd.
"Leave. Me. Alone." Ayumi said, walking quickly to get away from the alcoholic.
"Y..ou..re n..ot..gett..ing..aw..ay..tha..t..ea..sily..." They said grabbing her small wrist and brushing their fingers over the scars which rested there.
"No! Get off me!" Ayumi yelled, attempting to hit the hand that gripped her wrist.
"Co..me..on...I..ju..st wa..nt...some..fun.." The man said with a dark laugh.
"I said no!" Ayumi yelled. She hit his wrist as hard as she could, pulled her hand away then kicked his shin so he couldn't follow her and ran. She ran all the way to the building where Hinoe lived, running as fast as she could up the stairs in fear that the man was following her. She reached the door and pounded on it furiously untill her sister opened the door, asking what was wrong. She rushed inside and slammed the door shut, locking it from the inside.
"Ayumi, What happened? What's wrong?" Hinoe asked
"There was this man...drunk...he grabbed my wrist...I had to punch his wrist and kick his shin to get away." Ayumi replied breathlessly
"Ayumi, it's okay. You're safe now okay." Hinoe said, pulling Ayumi into a hug.
"He looked a bit like dad..." Ayumi mumbled sadly, remembering her nightmare last night
"Ayumi... You need to stop thinking about that. It'll only make you upset." Hinoe said, wiping tears from Ayumi's face.
"It just.. It hurts to know that they're gone." Ayumi replied, looking down
"Ayumi, the past can hurt but the way I see it, you can either run from it or learn from it. They want you to be happy, you know that as well as I do." Hinoe said. Ayumi nodded
"Okay. I'll try to stop thinking about it" She said as the two of them went to sit down.
