The night it all happened. The terror I felt in the pit of my stomach when they ran out after each other. The cold breeze forms bumps over my skin as the door blows open. The dark shadows displayed along the walls of my friends running out the door after a terrible prank.
If only I knew what I should have done. What I could've done to protect them both. Now they're gone. Gone from this plan entirely. Leaving a mark on everything and everyone whom they loved in the world.

The night was dark and the snow fell slowly. My skin occasionally gets bumps as I shutter. My hands rub my arms, my jacket ruffles as I do so. The sight of the moon was calming as I dragged my stuff up the stairs and onto the porch. The keys jiggled in my hands as I pushed it into the key hole. Opening the door with a swift movement of my right arm. Pushing the door wide open into complete darkness.
