(Trigger warning. Dark themes ahead. Sexual violence and bestiality. Tragic backstory is tragic.)
(9 years ago, dug into mount lanakila.)
Energy and electro balls whiz past us as we run after overloading the electrical generator of this damned laboratory. Clutched in my right arm is my son of one year, finished product of their terrible experimentation. He fiddles gently with the mega bracelet around my wrist, a stolen absolite inside. It seems they had intentions of catching a special Absol nearby for themselves. In my left hand, a briefcase contains all the documentation I had time to compile on my son and the experiments that caused his birth.
My “assigned parter” is a Gallade, he was the first male pokemon to be put into their immoral program. And I am the first human woman.
Doing things the other way around doesn't work, apparently. I don't know how these rockets got Aether foundation to fund this… farm of suffering. But they probably lied a whole bunch. Once the foundation knows this was a VERY different kind of breeding project, they'll- They'll be-
Gallade taps my left shoulder as we run, pointing left as we approach a split corridor. From the right side another pair of grunts run towards us.
Rocket grunt 1: There they are!
Grunt 2: Don't let 'em get away with subject Zero!
Gallade uses Psycho cut on the exposed pipes above us, the hot steam immediately scalding our pursuers.
Cyan: Nice shot! Keep up the pace!
Maybe it's better off if nobody else learns what happens here. I was lucky enough to manage to send several incriminating documents to them, and with their generator set to explode, this place will be buried soon, but what will happen to our son?
Two more corners at breakneck speed and we reach the exit, but a quake stops us. Suddenly a blast sends us both forwards through the doors and into the cold snow! We both scream in pain as we tumble in front of an abnormally large Absol. Perhaps it was lured in by the quake from the generator explosion?
I try to stand up, only for a surge of pain to stop me. I look at myself and Gallade, only to see we’re quickly painting the snow red… It's no use, our injuries are fatal. But what about Zero?
I look around and find him far closer to the Absol than we are, crying a lot, but he isn't hurt. He can still make it out of here. I look to Gallade and we nod at each other, the plan now obvious. I remove the mega bracelet and toss it to my child with the last of my strength.
Gallade speaks to the wild pokemon, begging her to bring our son to safety. Even though I can't understand them directly, Gallade's smile tells me that she'll ensure his safety and then some. She picks Zero up by the cloth he's wrapped in and positions him on her back, then picks up the briefcase in her mouth.
As the Absol trots away, I clasp hands with my fellow escapee… fate had us meet as two slaves, forced into vile deeds for the sake of their unholy experiments… but together, we were able to put a stop to it, and save that poor boy from what would almost certainly have been a life of only suffering.
Only the Aether foundation will ever know the full extent of team rocket's sins on this mountain… I only hope Zero never learns the meaning behind the tattoo on his arm that he's named after.
Absol takes our son away on her back. And our lives slip away.
(Present day)
I wake up again in our cove, possibly for the last time. Ninetales says it's time for me to come out and face the world… that I have to find some company called the Aether foundation with Luna, my Absol.
But frankly, I don't see the point. I have everything I need right here. Berries picked from near the lake freeze dried by Lucia (Which is the name I gave ninetales, when my dear adoptive mother said she had none) keep us fed for extended periods. And books taken from the abandoned megamart along with some encouragement from family have eventually led me to learn to speak!
I don't need help from whatever this Aether foundation is! But unfortunately, mom’s mind is made up. She says they're the only ones who can help me learn what happened to my blood parents… and why I can hear her and Astra talk. But do I really need to know? I've gotten along just fine without all these answers… besides, whenever I think about finding them, something just feels… off. I don't like to think about it for extended periods.
Supposedly, all I’ll have to do is descend the mountain southerly and reach their building. Lucia speaks as I pack my sack full of freeze dried berries and spring water contained in stolen bottles.
Lucia: As the grass becomes visible, you should find a white building with golden markings. Hand the briefcase to the first person wearing a white coat you see there and tell them your name. They'll take care of you.
Luna: That's the way it is, Zero. All aboard.
As I climb on my abnormally large partners back for a ride down, I voice my uncertainties.
Zero: And you’re SURE you can't come with us?
Lucia: I must wait for my blood child to return, Zero. I cannot leave.
Still hung up on that missing egg… about a month ago, me and Luna got hurt, and Lucia had to come help us. But when we all got back, her egg was missing. Me and Luna resolved not to talk about it, Lucia gets moody when we do. Understandably so.
Zero: I'll miss you…
Lucia: Don't be like that. You can return whenever you like. I'll still be here.
Zero: Okay, I'll come back if I find her, too!
My partner quickly interrupts.
Luna: Alright, Zero. Don't go making promises you can't keep. It's time to go.
We exchanged our farewells and left for a new future.
—Author's note: Hello, yes. This is supposed to feel weird and uncomfortable, you're having the correct emotional response. You see I’m kind of basing the origin of this character after the fairly recent leaks. (If you know, you know. If not, maybe DON'T go looking.)
It's important to note that I had been interested in the concept of a half pokemon person even before the leaks forcefully thrusted the idea of “forced pokephilia” upon us. I personally don't blame game freak. None of the leaked stories are canon anyway. And after making games specifically for children for all these years, forced to be kid friendly since 1996, of course some of them would go off to the side and write something free of the restrictions of it having need to be in a game, and more evidently, free of social taboo.
I, for one, was personally more intrigued about what the child of a person and pokemon could be. But of course, such a concept can't exist without… THAT… you know? Even during writing, I made a point to never explicitly say “This gallade was totally forced to boink this woman” until right now. Because ultimately, that ISN'T what I want the story to be about!
I want to consider how pokemon, people, and society as a whole would deal with a creature that is partially both, but neither completely. The struggles that come with basically being even more of a scientific abomination than Mewtwo. And later on, the desire to use powers only he will have in a way that can better his friends, his family, and the world.
Needless to say, this story will update slowly even by MY standards, and is the most likely to be abandoned or outright taken down out of everything I’m writing. Mostly depending on how many people in my friend circle find this and how they’ll feel about it.
As for Salvangel, it's taken down because it's currently undergoing some pretty significant changes. Everything back down to the pokemon arc in that story is being entirely reconceptualized along with a ton of more minor changes all throughout. In particular, Evelyn Damerot and any mention of Jpde are going to have to be retconned, as Jpde has not only a second game but a revision of the first both in the works. I don't think I need to explain why I'm hesitant to include a character from an unfinished story.
GoodfellaZeta, Signing off.
