CHAPTER 2

Vegeta smirked as he watched Naruto standing tall, his eyes narrowed in thought. He wasn't a fool. He had seen enough by now to make an educated guess—this was Naruto's first real battle.

Despite his impressive array of transformations and powers, Vegeta noticed that Naruto had already shown a lot of his hand. In the heat of battle, Naruto was cycling through his forms quickly, revealing much of what the Omnitrix had to offer.

Vegeta's smirk widened. He decided to take advantage of the situation.

"Let him tire himself out. Let him keep showing more. The more I see, the more I'll learn."

Turning to Nappa, Vegeta spoke with icy calm.

"You can still fight, right, Nappa?"

Nappa, though battered and bruised, instantly understood the unspoken command. Vegeta was using him as bait—just as they had done with the Saibamen and sometimes Raditz.

He would continue to fight, pushing Naruto to reveal more of his power, and in turn, Vegeta would learn his strengths and weaknesses. Nappa knew that defying Vegeta was a death sentence, so he had no choice.

With a furious roar, Nappa charged at Naruto once more, his massive frame hurtling toward the young warrior. But Naruto was ready. He quickly transformed into Diamondhead, his body shimmering with the appearance of jagged, crystalline armour.

Without hesitation, Naruto slammed his palm into the ground, causing a massive crystal shard to erupt from the earth like a spear. The spike impaled Nappa in mid-air before he could even reach Naruto, stopping him cold.

The battlefield fell silent as Nappa's lifeless body hung there for a moment before slumping to the ground with a dull thud. Naruto, breathing heavily, turned toward Vegeta, expecting him to react with anger or shock. But to his surprise, Vegeta was still smirking, his arms crossed over his chest.

"You think you've won because you beat Nappa?"

Vegeta's voice dripped with condescension.

"Nappa was weak, and you're already tiring yourself out. You may have impressive tricks, but you're sloppy. You've shown me too much."

Naruto's eyes narrowed as he felt a growing sense of unease. Vegeta was right. He had been switching forms constantly, using the Omnitrix's power without much restraint. But before Naruto could respond, Vegeta's smirk widened, and his aura flared to life, crackling with violet energy.

"I'm three times stronger than Nappa. Let's see how you handle this."

Vegeta raised his hand toward the sky, his fingers crackling with energy as he began to gather power.

"Galick Gun... FIRE!"

A massive purple energy beam shot out from Vegeta's palm, racing toward Naruto with devastating speed. Without hesitation, Naruto shifted into Feedback, the Conduit alien, ready to absorb the energy.

But something was wrong. As Feedback prepared to take in the beam, Vegeta's attack twisted unnaturally in the air, curving around Feedback's outstretched hands.

"What the—?!"

Naruto barely had time to react as the Galick Gun swerved and slammed into his arm, bypassing his attempt to absorb it. The sheer force of the attack sent Naruto flying backward, crashing through rocks and into a towering plateau. The ground shook from the impact, and a cloud of dust rose into the sky.

The Z-Fighters, who had been watching with growing hope, now stared in horror. The brief glimmer of victory they had felt moments ago was snuffed out in an instant. One attack from Vegeta had turned the tide, and Naruto, their unexpected ally, lay embedded in the rubble. Yamcha, Krillin, and Tien exchanged worried glances.
