Chapter 05

Amando

When I parked the car, I guided Aurora inside the ancestral house. Napansin kong nalilito pa rin siya pero hinayaan ko na lang din dahil ayoko rin dumagdag sa iisipin niya.

"Bakit tayo nandito?" she asked, her gaze on the picture frames lining on the walls.

"Gusto kong dito magpahinga. Away from all the chaos." I replied softly.

"At bakit nandito rin ako?" she pressed.

"You suggested it. Kapag stress tayo pareho, dito tayo nagpapahinga." I reminded her.

She paused, trying to proces my words. Her eyes darting from one frame to another, perhaps searching for a connection.

"Dito din tayo unang nagkakilala." I added, encouraging her to explore the memories that might come flooding back. "Maglibot ka muna, maybe may biglang bumalik na memories sa'yo. I'll be at the kitchen to prepare foods."

Iniwan ko muna siya at naghanda ng makakain namin. And of course, her favorite, steak. Alam kong nahihirapan siya sa nangyayari at maging ako ay nahihirapan din.

I focused myself on cooking kaya pagkatapos ay agad ko ding tinawag si Aurora para kumain. She was just quiet listening to my rants. Halos hindi niya naubos ang dinner niya at nagpaalam na magbibihis na muna. Mabuti na lang at hindi na siya nagtaka kung bakit may mga gamit siya dito.

After cleaning, I decided to drink some wine to relieve my stress. I sat on the soft couch, admiring the deep crimson color on my wineglass and drank it. Nilagyan ko ulit ang baso ko at saktong kalalabas lang ni Aurora sa kwarto.

I watched her as her expression still showed confusion. So cute. I drank my wine but paused when she asked me something.

"First time ko ba dito?" her voice soft and unsure.

I slowly put the wineglass back on the glass table and looked at her. I smile to myself and she saw it, causing her brows to arched.

First time?

Nah. Countless times already.

Hindi niya ba talaga maalala kung anong mga kababalaghan ang ginagawa namin sa bahay na 'to?

"Come here." I leaned forward, extending my arms to her and it took her a while before he held it. "Sit." I commanded.

Naguluhan siya kaya maingat ko siyang pinaupo sa ibabaw ko. Ramdam ko na naiilang siya kaya marahan kong hinimas ang hita niya to make her feel relax.

I was trying so hard to meet her eyes but she was avoiding it. I gently cupped her cheek and made her looked at my eyes.

"Kahit wala kang maalala, wala pa ring nagbago sa nararamdaman ko para sa'yo." I whispered, pouring my heart into those words.

The warmth of her skin against mine sent shivers through me as I leaned in, planting tender kisses on her shoulder up to her neck.

As our lips met, it was as if time stood still. Slowly, she tilted her head to give me more access on her lips. I tasted it and devoured it like a first time. I could even heard the sounds between us while I was holding her neck to deepen the kissed.

We both pulled away to catched our breath. We stared into each other's eye before I kissed her forehead.

"Magpahinga ka na muna. Babalik din tayo agad ng estate bukas."

Natagalan pa bago siya tumayo sa pagkakakandong sa akin at agad na bumalik ng kwarto. I let her sleep at peace bago ako matulog sa kabilang kwarto.
