Camila's POV
I stepped out of the car, dance bag in hand, and walked alongside my mom as we made our way back to the studio for this week's competition. I could hardly contain my excitement.

"Come on, sweetheart," my mom encouraged, holding the door open for me.

We passed the front desk and entered the dancer den, where I spotted Chloe and Christi.

"Chloe!" I exclaimed, beaming as I rushed over to give her a big hug, which she happily returned.

"Camila!" Chloe replied, her smile wide.

"Hey, peanut," Christi said, playfully ruffling my hair.

"Okay, Camila, hurry and get into your dancewear. You have a tap class," my mom reminded me, handing me my outfit from my black and gold dance bag.

Once I was dressed, I sat in a straddle while my mom styled my hair into a sleek ponytail, finishing it off with a white bow.

I slipped on my tap shoes just as my mom leaned down to plant a quick kiss on my head. "Have fun, babe. See you later!" she said before leaving with Christi, while Chloe and I headed off to our tap class.

...

"Let's go, girls! Come on!" Abby shouted as we all filed into the studio, our moms trailing closely behind.

I settled next to Chloe and Paige, buzzing with excitement about our competition routine.

"Vivi-Anne, where's your dance clothes?" Abby asked, noticing the new team member in regular clothes.

"It's in the car," Vivi replied.

"You need to be dressed and ready to dance when you walk in this building. Yes?" Abby said, and Vivi nodded, prompting me to refocus on the pyramid.

"I want to recap a little bit about the competition. Now there are some things that went on that maybe you don't even know about," Abby began, pointing at Nia. "Your mom was upset about the costume," she said, then turned to Chloe. "Your mom was upset about the costume before you went on stage." Both Chloe and Nia glanced at their moms.

"I don't really understand why Chloe and Nia's moms were upset about the group costume; I thought it looked great."

"But that cannot happen again," Abby insisted.

||Christi's Interview||
"We all know why we lost last week. It was those hideous, trashy costumes. But Abby's never going to take the blame; she'll just blame us dance moms."

"Let's talk about what we're going to do this weekend. We're going to New Jersey and we are going to do an acrobatic gymnastics routine," Abby announced. I felt a rush of happiness; I love acrobatics, even if I'm not as good as Brooke, who I really look up to.
