This story is written in 3rd Person POV :3 THEY AREN'T HUMANIZED!!!

Firey had been sitting near the beachside, a safe enough distance away from the ocean to make sure he doesn't die from the water. He closed his eyes, carefully listening to the waves crash along the shore and the leaves blowing in the wind. One particular leaf stood out to him though, his best friend Leafy, who was approaching him while waving. Firey waved back.

"Hey, Firey! I have some news for you!" Leafy sat by the flame, far enough to make sure she didn't burn.

"Really? What is it?" Firey asked, looking over to the leaf sitting by his side.

"Apparently, Pin's hosting a party and me and you are invited!" Leafy exclaimed.

"Oh, cool! When is it?" Firey looked intrigued by actual object connection. Most people avoid the ball of fire thinking he might burn them, Leafy was one of those that didn't care even though she was the most flammable out of all of Firey's friends.

"She said it's happening this Friday."

Today was Wednesday, which means the party was happening in 2 days. Firey thought for a moment before asking, "Who else is gonna be there?"

"I think Pin's inviting almost everyone. Pencil, Eraser, Bubble, Coiny.."

Firey's face filled with horror at hearing Coiny's name. Out of everyone he knew, Coiny was the person that Firey hates the most. Ever since Firey met Coiny, he hated him. Everytime he sees Coiny, he wants to throw up. Hearing his name in this barrage of people changed his mind from thinking about going to not wanting to go at all.

"COINY?! No. Nonono. No way. If HE'S going, I'm not!" Firey caterwauled, crossing his arms and turning his head away from Leafy in disapproval. Leafy looked at him, concerned and a bit annoyed.

"Firey, c'mon! It won't be that bad. You can just avoid him." Leafy said, "Look, I know you hate him, but I REALLY want you to come with me to this event! It'll be fun! Plus, it would be nice to have my best friend attend with me, wouldn't it?"

Firey thought for a moment, looking back at Leafy, a bit of guilt in his eyes. He needed to get his priorities straight. What was more important? Avoiding his arch rival or hanging out with his best friend? Firey knew what to say.

"Ugh, fine! But I'm gonna try to stay as far away from Coiny as objectly possible." Firey remarked.

"Yay! As long as you come, you can avoid him as much as you want I guess."

Seeing Leafy happy made Firey smile. It's not that he liked Leafy, but he just liked seeing his friends happy, it makes him happy too.

~Time Skip~

Firey was laying in his bed, staring at the ceiling. He was lost in thought, thinking about the party he was going to in 2 days. Although Firey was excited to spend more time with other objects, the thought of crossing paths with Coiny couldn't leave his mind. I groan escaped his mouth as he pulled a blanket over him. The only reason Firey was really doing this was because he didn't want to disappoint Leafy. Yet, something about knowing Coiny would be there maid his stomach churn in a way that it normally doesn't, even when he sees Coiny any other day. Maybe it's just because he hasn't talked to Coiny in a few months, and even when they do talk it's mainly just useless bickering and slapping.

Eventually, Firey just decided to let these thoughts go and fall asleep.

~The Next Day~

Pin woke up, feeling as refreshed as ever. Tomorrow was her party and she was estactic about it. She made sure all of it was planned out just right. All she needed to do now was decorate her house. She picked up her phone and called her good friend, Leafy.

"Hey, girl! What's up?" Leafy answered the phone quickly.

"Hey, Leafy! I was just wondering if you wanted to help me set up the party for tomorrow. I have all the decorations, but it would be much better if I could have some help." Pin requested.

"Uhh, yeah! I think I have time. I'll be over in 10."

"Alright, thanks Leafy! See you soon!"

"Bye!"

Pin hung up the phone and placed it on her nightstand, she got up, stretching her arms and went into her kitchen to make herself some breakfast. A classic Pancakes, eggs, and bacon with coffee to get her going and ready for the day. Once she finished eating she waited for a few moments until Leafy had arrived. She heard a knock on the door and answered it.

"Hey, Pin! I'm here!" Leafy announced, hugging Pin in the process. Pin felt her cheeks go a little red at Leafy's sudden embrace but eventually hugged her back.

"Hello, Leafy! Good to see you. Ready to help me with the decorations?" Pin said, pointing to the boxes on the floor full of supplies.

"Yeah! Let's go!" Leafy skipped into Pin's house and began pulling out decorations from the boxes. Pin followed suit.

"So, how have you been recently?" Pin asked, enunciating every syllable super clearly as always.

"I've been fine. Firey and I have been hanging out a lot and it's been really fun!" Leafy smiled. Hearing Leafy talk about Firey made Pin's expression falter a bit, her smile fading slowly. She looked down at the boxes, avoiding looking at the leaf beside her.

"Uhhh, yeah..mhm. That's great." Pin said sarcastically, continuing to put up decorations, she quickly changed the subject, "So, would you say that Firey and Coiny still have that dumb rivalry?"

"Yeah, unfortunately. It took a while for me to convince Firey to even go to the party because Coiny would be there and he didn't want to see him. They haven't talked in months though. Why do you ask?"

"Well, I just want to make sure their hatred for eachother doesn't end in the party being ruined. I spent a lot of time working on this, y'know! It's.. very important to me."

"Hey." Leafy put a comforting hand on Pin's back. Pin looked over to Leafy, a bit of blush appearing on her cheeks, "I'll make sure your awesome party doesn't get ruined. Believe me, I'll keep Firey in check. Plus, he did say he was going to stay as far away from Coiny as he could anyways, so as long as they don't run into each other, you should be fine." Pin smiled and Leafy continued to hang up decorations. It took around 30 minutes for them to finish decorating everything and move furniture and stuff around.

"Hey, this looks pretty nice! Thanks for your help, Leafy." Pin smiled at Leafy and Leafy turned over to her.

"No problem, Pin! It's the least I could do to help out a friend." Leafy shrugged Pin's thanks off. Pin gave a disappointed smile and looked down to the floor.

"Heheh, yeah..for a friend." Pin then turned back to Leafy, "Anyways, you may leave now. I'll see you around!"

"Bye, Pin! Have a nice day!" Leafy waved at Pin and then left, shutting the door behind her. Pin looked around and admired the team's work. She gave herself a pep-talk.

"Alright, Pin, the party is tomorrow! Everyone is gonna be there so don't screw up or it will be the BIGGESTMISTAKEOFYOURLIFE!" She quickly darted through the end of her sentence in a bit of worried panic. She sighed, regaining her composure. She then took one final look at her work and went into her room.

"It's only a party, Pin. You can do it."
