On July 31, a strangely cloudy day for summer, Meilian Zhao was born. She was a child with black eyes and skin a light as the sun. Meilian grew up in poverty, her family wasn't well off and was in major debt but Meilian had a lot of smarts so her parents entrusted the family's future on her hoping she would be able to get he family out of poverty and hunger so they sent her to private school with all the money they had left. At pre-school Meilian met someone, a special someone to her, Lei.

🐡・ᘏ・in class, 8:53・ᘎ

◡◡ Lei: "Hi!! Want to play with me?"
╰ [Lei reaches out her hand to Meilian]

◡◡ Meilian: [flinchs]
╰ "yeah uh okay!!"
╰[takes Lei's hand]

◡◡ Lei: "Okay!! Let's go!!"
╰[takes Meilian's hand and brings her to
the drawing station]

🐡・ᘏ・at the drawing station・ᘎ

◡◡ Tian: "Lei, come with me to play.
family!!"
╰[dragging Lei's arm with him]

◡◡ Lei: "Let go of me!! I don't want to play with
you I'm already playing with Meilian."
╰[pushes Tian away]

◡◡ Tian: "You would rather play with"
╰her than with me?? Are you
joking?? Isn't she like broke?"

◡◡ Lei: "I don't care go away or I'm gonna tell
the teacher your being mean!!"

◡◡ Tian: "Tell her I bet she doesn't
care!!"

◡◡ Lei: [raises hand]
╰ "Mrs. Lì!! Tian is being mean to
Meilian and I!!"

◡◡ Mrs. Lì: "hm? Tian is being mean to you?
   Well I mean, boys will be boys he
   just likes you Lei!! Go play with
   him okay?"

◡◡ Lei: "but Mrs. Lì!!"
╰ [tries to grab the teachers arm but
   she's already walked away
   ╰ "I hate you Tian!! It's cause your
   stupid parents paying everyone to not
   give you consequences for you
   actions, your gonna grow up and
   become a dummy who is full of
   themselves!! Meilian let's go."

◡◡ Meilian: [follows Lei without a second
thought]
