Marrying is at the top of my bucket list this year. New Year's resolution, if that's what you call it. But I have a problem with lists. I never finish those. To tell you the truth, I never finished the whole list. It's always the first two on top of it, and then, nothing's next. Yes, I am lazy.

Laziness became my number one talent. No joking. I even have a trophy for that. My grandfather gave that to me. He even said that he was proud of me.

Back to my problem — yes, it's a problem — I need to marry someone. This year. And if you ask me, that's the only thing I listed on my bucket list. You know, so that I wouldn't be that lazy and that I would be focused on only one thing this year.

"Hoy," someone snapped her finger in front of my face.

"How dare you 'hoy' me?" I gasped at her, feeling so betrayed.

She looks at me in disgust. "Hello? It's been ten minutes and you still look dumb sitting there."

"Dumb?" I feel offended by her words. I even touched my chest to be more dramatic.

"Look," she said, showing her phone in front of my face for me to see how I looked like earlier. "See? Para kang tanga."

"At least, I still look pretty." I rolled my eyes at her while flipping my hair. "Anyway, help me na kasi. Please, Jen..." I made my famous puppy-eye. But she just gave me the most disgusted look.

"It won't work with me, Daisy. You're spoiled and so am I."

"Come on, you know I have no one I could ask for help, right? You're my only friend, Jen. Just make me an appointment with your brother, and that's it. I swear. I won't ask for your help once you help me with this one." I smiled at her genuinely.

She stares at me for mostly five minutes and then she sighs, "We both know he's a jerk. We also both know he's not good enough for you. I don't want you to marry someone you don't even deserve, Lily."

"No one's good enough for me, I know that." I joked which made her laugh. "Kidding aside, yes, I am aware of that. I know that he's a jerk and some kind of dumbass, but the only thing that makes it better is that you'll be my sister-in-law. At least, I'll have you, right?"

"You really want me to say yes, huh?" she eyed me, looking stressed. "What about your brother? You know he's protective of you. They're also friends."

"Don't think too much. It'll just make you look old. He won't have a say when we're already married." I'm making a point here. It also stresses me out. Knowing my brother, he'll be furious if he's here.

My brother, Dio, will never say yes to this. Especially marriage. Up until now, he still thinks that I'm a high school student that needs a guardian every damn time. When in fact, I am almost twenty-five years old.

If Dio won't approve, Denver wouldn't too. Denver, my second brother, is not that strict. We're more close than what I have with Dio. As Dio is the first child, he has more authority than Denver.

Diego, my third brother, on the other hand, won't be a problem with this. He'll just say no for a while but will eventually say yes to me.

I am the fourth and the last child, the only daughter they have. The only granddaughter in this family. In short, the spoiled brat. That's what they call me, but I am not.

It will be tough for me to get married in this family of mine. All of them will say no — but isn't it thrilling? their no means challenge to me.

"Huh, that's the solution you have?" she asked in disbelief. "I know my brother is a jerk but I don't want him to be killed by your brothers."
