The whole surgery was a blur for cry. He faintly remembered the nurse asking him questions that even a 3 year old could answer.
"How old are you"
"What is your favorite color"
"What's your name"
The few hours after the surgery is what cry can remember. The agonizing pain. The pills. The fact that he was yelled at for sleeping, which was all he wanted to do.
After those hours he remembers the happiness of eating and sleeping, the blissful feeling of numbness.
Three days after the surgery he was moved to a shared room. This was a room for people who didn't need as much care. The person he shared with was named Ken.
He and Ken would spend Cry's few conscious hours talking about video games and school. They were only two months apart. The day before Ken left Cry finally found the courage to ask Ken why he was here.
"Ken?"
"Yeah Cry"
"Why are you here?"
Ken took a sharp intake of breath and turned to cry
"M-my mother... s-she pour boiling water on my b-back"
"Oh... sorry"
Ken sighed
"Don't be sorry"
Cry nodded and fell back asleep. When he awoke the next morning to see Ken gone. He was disappointed to say the least, he really hoped they'd see each other again
