the salt-tinged breeze tugged at your hair as you watched beidou bark orders to her crew, her voice loud and commanding against the hum of the ocean. she was every bit the captain you had imagined, confident and sure-footed on the deck of the crux as it rocked with the gentle, unpredictable waves. you had waited for this day—the day you'd sail with her to inazuma. she had been skeptical at first, warning you of the dangers: the ruthless tides, the storms, the shogunate's strict policies against outsiders. but your determination had finally convinced her, and as the crux sliced through the waters of the high seas, you knew you were in capable hands.

beidou approached you, her gaze sharp and assessing. "first time crossing the inazuman sea?" she asked, a knowing smirk tugging at her lips. "first time out this far, really," you admitted, trying not to let on just how exhilarated—and nervous—you actually were.

beidou chuckled, clapping a hand on your shoulder. "nothing to worry about. you've got the best crew in all of liyue here to keep you safe." she glanced over the deck where her crew worked, adjusting sails and checking supplies with practiced ease. "we've done this trip a thousand times. you'll be fine—just don't look down if the sea gets rough." her words were comforting, but you couldn't miss the way she looked out at the horizon, her eyes narrowing slightly as if searching for something in the distance. "what's wrong?" you asked, unable to hold back your curiosity.

"thunderstorm ahead," she replied, her voice dropping a bit. "seems like we're in for a bit of trouble."

as if on cue, dark clouds began to gather on the horizon, creeping toward the crux like a predator stalking its prey. beidou sprang into action, rallying her crew with quick, calm commands, and soon the deck was a flurry of activity. you braced yourself, gripping the railing as the ship's movements became more pronounced, waves rising and crashing against the sides.

just when the storm seemed to be at its worst, beidou appeared at your side, standing firm even as the deck lurched beneath her. she laughed, her voice carrying over the storm like thunder itself. "now this is sailing!" she shouted, her grin fearless and wild.

you found yourself laughing too, exhilarated by the sheer chaos of it all. despite the storm, despite the danger, there was something thrilling about it—about being there with her, the legendary captain who was more myth than woman, daring the seas as if they were mere nuisances. when the storm finally passed, the sun broke through the clouds, casting a golden glow over the water. the air was filled with the scent of salt and the tang of adventure, and you felt a surge of relief as the shores of inazuma came into view.

beidou gave you a nod, her eyes full of pride. "you did well for a first-timer," she said, crossing her arms as she looked out toward the island. "not many people get to see inazuma up close these days. consider it a privilege." as the ship slowed and the crew began making preparations to dock, you felt a deep sense of gratitude and excitement. this was only the beginning of your journey, but with beidou at your side, you were ready for whatever inazuma—and the world—had to throw at you. "thank you, captain," you said, feeling the words fall short of everything you felt.

beidou merely grinned, flashing you a mischievous look. "don't thank me yet. who knows what's waiting for us in inazuma?" she laughed, and you couldn't help but feel like this was the start of something truly unforgettable.
