" You come from Japan, right? " U-San started off a conversation, picking a random topic. Minases head perked up, and he turned to look at them. He was caught off guard by the fluent Japanese. However, Shu did inform him about this.
" Yes. " Minase nodded with a smile.
His gaze then shifted to the shorter purple haired male, who wasn't really focusing his gaze on anything particular. He did seem like quite the calm person to Minase, but that didn't make him any less nervous.
" Cool! Can I see your timetable? " U-San asked, turning back to look at Minase as they continued walking. Minase, of course, held took his phone out, handing it over to the other.
" Oh, you're in the same classes as Shu and Shoto! All except Science and Biology. " They exclaimed with a grin, handing the phone back. Minase nodded again. In his eyes, he seemed like a good person. They both did. He's heard good and bad things about America.
Mainly just bad things.
" U-San. Tell him this is the library. " Shoto finally spoke up as they came to a stop, pointing at the decently sized library. It was next to the gymnasium.
" Minase, this is the Library on your right, and the gym is to your left. " U-San explained. Pointing to which is which. The gym was larger than the library, so it wouldn't be hard to identify either one.
The 3 continued their tour. It was now nearing the time when the bell rings, indicating class starting.
" My class is on the other side of the school, so I'll see you guys at break. " U-San waved as they jogged off to head to their class. Shoto and Minase waved back before falling into silence.
Minase took a quick peek at Shoto as they walked, not sure what to say or if he could even say anything. His lips pressed into a thin line as he fiddled with the zipper of his jacket. He probably looked like a lost puppy following the closest person he could.
" So... hobbies. Do you have any hobbies? " Shoto finally asked as he turned to look back at the other, continuing to walk. Minase blinked and then attempted to process the words spoken to him.
" Hobbies... " Minase repeated, feeling the word roll out of his mouth. It wasn't hard to pronounce, thankfully.
" Yeah... like sports, art... gaming. " Shoto listed a few of the things he could think of. He himself had a hobby of gaming.
Minase didn't respond for quite a while. However, he happened to understand a bit of the sentence and nodded. " Gaming... " Minase mumbled quietly, unsure of how audible his voice even was.
Shoto had still managed to catch wind of it.
They now fell into a bit of a more comfortable silence than before. Minases nerves had calmed down a bit, but whenever students walked by, he couldn't help but feel a bit self-conscious of himself.
The bell then finally rung. Less than a few minutes later, the halls were now crowded with students heading towards their classes. It didn't help that the school was overpopulated.
Shoto reached back, linking his hand with Minases, making sure the other didn't get lost in the crowd. Minase was taken by surprise, but appreciated the gesture. Especially with how much people were rushing around the halls.
After what felt like millions of hours to Minase, they arrived at the third floor of the school building, heading towards their math class. Once there, Shoto opened up the door and walked inside with Minase trailing right behind since they were still hand in hand.
" Oh, Shou, Minase, over here! " A female voice called out to the two. The two turned to the sound and saw Shu and the female seated in the back with two extra seats available for them.
Shoto led Minase towards the desk table, letting him sit down next to Shu as they unlinked their hands, and he sat next to the other. " How come you were so late, Elira? " Shoto asked, placing his back down beside his seat.
Elira chuckled as she shifted in her seat to sit upright. " Slept in! " she explained.
" How did it go? " Shu questioned, turning to the male beside him. Minase stared at his hands for a few seconds, fiddling with his jacket once more. " I'm probably still going to get lost. " Minase said quietly.
Shu chuckled and gave an encouraging pat on the other in hopes of reassuring him. " Don't worry, that's normal. I can always walk you to your classes we don't share? " Shu offered.
Minase thought about it for a few moments before he shook his head no. " No... I'll be okay. " he replied. Shu didn't respond for a few moments before he nodded with a relaxed smile on his expression.
" Make sure to message me if you happen to get lost. " Shu said, earning a nod in response from the pink haired.
The teacher walked in not too long afterward, their conversation quieting down. Unfortunately for Minase, he had to introduce himself as best as he could anyway.
His nerves spiked up again. However, thankfully, once they settled into the lesson, it wasn't that bad, especially since Shu was able to translate most of it for Minase to understand properly.
During class time, Minase did manage to have a few conversations with Elira and Shoto. It was thanks to Shu, just translating everything.
