The morning sun streamed through the curtains, gently tugging me from sleep. I woke slowly, a soft giggle escaping my lips as memories of yesterday danced through my mind—shy, happy moments that made my heart flutter. But then, as my eyes wandered, I realized Tshoki wasn't there. She must have left early for the shoot. Only three more days left now.
I sighed, a mixture of excitement filling me. Quickly, I rushed to the bathroom, splashing my face with cold water to shake off the lingering grogginess. The makeup brush felt like second nature as I applied it, smiling softly at my reflection. I couldn't help but smile wider as I finished and made my way to the hotel dining room for breakfast. But before I could open the door, I felt a sudden tug at my arm, pulling me into a corner. My heart skipped a beat as I looked up, surprised to find Gyeltshen grinning at me like a schoolboy, his eyes filled with mischief. I couldn't help the warmth that spread through me as my lips curled into a smile.
"What are you doing?" I asked, glancing around quickly to make sure no one was watching.
"Nothing," he said, his grin only widening. "I just missed you, and it's quiet out here—everyone's already gone to work."
His arms wrapped around me, pulling me close, and for a moment, I felt completely safe, completely at ease in his embrace. There was something so reassuring in the way he held me, like nothing else mattered except the two of us in that quiet moment. I looked up at him, my heart full of curiosity and affection.
"What about you?" I asked softly. "Don't you have work?"
He shrugged, his eyes twinkling. "I made an excuse," he said, the playful tone in his voice making me laugh. I pushed him away gently, teasing. "You've really changed in these six years," I said, walking away, but I couldn't stop smiling, the warmth of his presence still lingering around me.
He grabbed my wrist and pulled me back, his gaze intense as he searched my face. "How?" he asked, his voice playful. "Am I handsome now?"
My heart skipped a beat, and I nodded slowly, still smiling shyly. There was something so endearing about him in that moment, so effortlessly charming. He covered his mouth with his hand, a wide grin tugging at the corners of his lips as he tried to hide his obvious pleasure. "Let's go to work," I said, trying to pull away and get back to the day, but his pout stopped me in my tracks.
"I don't want to," he whined, and I couldn't help but laugh. The way he looked so cute, like a little boy who just didn't want the fun to end, made my heart melt. I tiptoed up to him, pressing a soft kiss on his cheek, feeling the warmth of his skin beneath my lips. He looked at me, completely caught off guard, his cheeks flushing pink as he smiled sheepishly.
"Okay, okay," he said with a grin, finally giving in. He took my hand in his, his fingers warm and steady, and I felt a wave of contentment wash over me. "Let's go," I said, my voice soft but determined, as my heart fluttered at the moment.
.....
As we neared the shooting location, I pulled my hand out of his, feeling a sudden tightness in my chest. He looked at me with a confused frown. "We need to be professional," I said firmly, trying to steady my voice. "I don't want anyone to know about us... about our relationship." He stared at me, his expression turning serious. "But I want to let everyone know," he said quietly, almost stubbornly, his gaze never leaving mine.
I felt a twinge of frustration. "Don't you dare," I snapped, my voice low but insistent. "I don't want anyone to know, especially not in the way that could hurt my boyfriend's career. Please, Gyeltshen. I'm not willing to risk that."
I started walking again, but when I glanced over my shoulder, I saw he was still following me. His steps were a little too eager, and when I looked back at him, his face wore the kind of grin someone gets when they've just won the lottery.
