CHAPTER SIX

SELENA'S POV

"Do you Jace Southerland, take this woman to to be your lawfully wedded wife, to love and com......", the priest started but was interrupted.

"I do", I think, if I heard well, his name is Jace said.

Well, someone's a little impatient. It made me want to smile a little.

"Well...", the priest cleared his throat. "Do you Selena Marano take this man to be your lawfully wedded husband, to love him, to honour him and comfort for as long as you both shall live. Till death do you part?"

"I do", I said. Well, it's not like I had a choice.

The priest exhaled with a smile and muttered those words that I had been afraid of from the start.

"You may kiss the bride"

Okay, where's Lee Dong Wook when you need him. I had imagine him coming to rescue me but no such luck.

I looked up at the man standing infront of me through my lashes. I was a bit nervous okay? In my defense, I have never been in this type of position before and I have every reason to feel this way which is a bit odd because I've never felt this way infront of a man before. Why is this one different?

It's probably because this is your wedding day, you'll get over it. But I never expected it to be him....the Americano guy.

"Please don't because no one wants to see that!", I heard Adelaide yell causing me to shift my attention to her.

I almost flipped her off

Almost.

I really wanted to.

But the priest....

Oh come on, I think he has seen worse than that.

I turned my attention back to Jace after rolling my eyes at Adelaide to find him already staring at me.

Okay hands, don't start sweating on me now. There is an incredibly attractive man standing infront of me.

Before I could do or say anything, Jace placed his palm gently on my cheek and kissed me.

Like..I mean lip to lip.

I was kinda surprised......reasons why I left my eyes open as proof that I wasn't dreaming.

It was a short but sweet kiss.

Not really proud to say it but it was also my first kiss.

Jace pulled back and I could almost see hesitation in his eyes as if he didn't want to. Oh please, don't get ahead of yourself Selena.

He had a small smile tugged at his lips as he stared down at me.

"Congratulations, Mr and Mrs Southerland!!", the priest announced with glee.

Mrs Southerland...huh, I better get used to that.

Taking my hands in his, Jace took me to where my 'family' stood.

My father pulled me into a hug making my body to stiffen. I wasn't expecting that and even if I was, I wouldn't hug him back just like I wasn't doing right now.

He pulled back and turned to look at Jace.
"Take care of her, please", he slurred out earning a glare from the two women beside him.

"I will", came Jace's response as he slipped his hand slowly around my waist pulling me closer to him.

I just hope he didn't notice the way my eyes instantly increased in size.

What I wasn't expecting that okay? Not that I was complaining though.
