Harsha pov:
I was waiting in my cabin ,waiting for" someone" to arrive .
Today is my first day at the college, which, of course, I hate, but I have to do this just to prove that I am not as weak as he thinks. And yes, I know my dad said all that just to push me, but I took those words seriously. So here I am today in this very college—as a professor.
As the other faculty, ML sir took me to the first class and introduced me to the students. I just looked at them with a cold, blank expression, and of course, they got scared. That wasn’t my intention, but it happened. Not that I’m complaining. I glanced around once and spotted Yashwi. (Everyone likes to call her Cherry, but I prefer to call her Yashwi). I swept my gaze from her to the entire class, cleared my throat, and said,
“Since sir has already given my introduction, let’s start the class.”
The words came out colder than I had expected.I swept my eyes across the class once more and said, “But what I saw next made me pause." Isn't she..??" I thought, though I quickly collected myself and asked the CRs to stand. As they did, Yashvi, that particular girl, and another girl stood. I told them to introduce themselves. As expected, Yashvi began, then looked at the others, signaling them to say something.
I kept my eyes on them, waiting for someone to speak. How dare she pull that boyfriend stunt with me. She would soon learn what it means to mess with me—HarshavardhanYadhuvanshi. I thought to myself with a slight smirk before returning to my cold expression. The other girl then introduced herself as Poojitha Agarwal, and I listened, but my focus remained on that particular someone. She looked… afraid. Still looking at her, I said,
“And you, what’s your name?”She nervously introduced herself: “Akshayarao.”
“Akshaya,” I repeated, the name rolling off my tongue louder than I intended. But I only smirked at her trembling form without saying more. Then, I started the class, noticing how she tried to hide, her face clearly showing the fear I wanted. Exactly the reaction I needed from her.
But Yashvi? I would have to warn her to keep her distance. With that thought, I left the class as soon as the period ended.
I was walking out for something when I overheard Yashvi talking. I looked at her, and there she was, speaking with Akshaya… about me. Curiosity got the better of me, so I went closer to listen. But what I heard next made my blood boil. “Do you guys think he is gay?” Shocked and furious, I couldn’t believe she’d have the audacity to say that. Just as she was about to continue, I stepped in and cut her off saying........
Knock, knock...
My thoughts halted as I heard a knock on my door. “Come in,” I said, fully aware of who it was. After a few seconds, she entered, fidgeting with her fingers, looking down, and trembling slightly. I observed her for a few seconds before speaking.
“So…” I began, trailing off as she looked up at me. I was about to say something, but then she began to blabber.
"Actually, I didn’t know you were our professor. I’m sorry, sir, for putting you in a difficult situation. I shouldn’t have spoken to you like that. Actually, what happened… it’s not what I intended to happen. I’m really sorry, sir…” She kept blabbering, only to stop when we both heard a knock at the door. She looked at me, but I kept my face completely expressionless.
I gave a brief, cold “Come in,” as the CRs from the other section, along with Yashvi and her friend Poojitha, entered the cabin. Akshaya looked confused, but I simply continued, assigning them the tasks they needed to complete for the semester.
Akshu pov:
God, I should’ve controlled my mouth or at least looked around before blabbering like that. Did he hear? What if he heard everything and called me here to talk about this morning? Oh God, what should I do now?
No, actually, there’s no problem. You didn’t know he was your professor, and I was there. It was all a misunderstanding. Yes, just say it was this morning’s misunderstanding. This time, it’ll get sorted out.
I kept thinking this as I walked toward his cabin.
In front of his cabin, I took a deep breath and knocked on the door softly. Moments later, I heard his cold “Come in.” I gasped a little before opening the door. As I thought, he looked like he was in a bad mood. I went in, fidgeting with my hands, looking down, feeling nervous.
“So…” he started, but I quickly cut him off before he could say anything, and I began blabbering. Then suddenly, we heard another knock on the door. I looked up, confused, and he said in the same cold tone, “Come in.”
The other CRs entered along with Yashvi and Pooja. I stood with them, mentally cursing myself for blabbering like that.
He started listing the tasks we’d have to complete for the semester. My heart sank at his rules and requirements. And… monitoring… since he is our… class in-charge… even hell would be better compared to his rules and workload.
He pointed at me and the other girls from different classes. He handed me the monitoring book, a digital pen, and some other necessities for our class. “You have to keep that sharp 850 AM ready every day in the morning before I arrive,” he instructed, then assigned some other tasks to the other girls.
Rule No. 1: No talking during my class.”
“Rule No. 2: You have to write a test every Saturday, and the test will be exclusively descriptive on the topics I discuss during the week. If anyone fails to attend, they will get detention for a week and won’t receive attendance for three days.”
“Rule No. 3: Everyone needs to give a seminar on the topics I choose every 15 days, ”
He handed us a list of rules that had to be followed, which made me go wild in my mind.
What is this cold man ? Jerk... I thought to myself as I looked at him, but I didn’t say a word.
After the 30-minute meeting, he finally dismissed us. But then he said, “Wait… you…” We all looked at him, as if waiting to see who he wanted to stay. He pointed at me. “ you, Ms. Akshaya,” he said. “Stay.” My eyes went wide in shock.
“Me?” I said, my eyes going wide in shock as I looked at him, slightly scared, remembering today’s incident with him—not once, but twice.
“Yes, you,” he said, pointing his index finger at me, looking at me with a mean and cold expression.
God, please save me from him. I’ll pray to you forever, I thought, feeling a little scared as everyone left me alone with him in his cabin.
