Jackson laid a few bills on the counter, glancing back toward the hallway where Derek and Stiles had disappeared. With a smirk, he turned to Erica and Boyd. "Let's ditch these lovebirds," he said, barely containing his amusement. "I, for one, cannot wait to rub this in McCall's face."
Erica let out a cackle, clapping her hands in glee. "Oh my god, can you imagine? Scott's gonna hate this. I swear, I can already see him freaking out."
Boyd chuckled, shaking his head as he slid off his stool. "Scott is definitely going to lose his mind. You guys know that, right?"
Jackson grinned, stuffing his hands into his pockets as they headed for the door. "All the more reason. Besides, it's not our fault if he's going to be jealous. He had his chance to make peace with Derek, and he knows it."
Erica practically bounced with excitement, unable to hide her delight. "And you know Peter's going to love this. It's like his little 'unite the pack' dream is coming true. Derek and Stiles... it's exactly the kind of drama he lives for."
Boyd rolled his eyes but couldn't help smiling at the image. "Yeah, well, let's just hope Peter doesn't get too involved. Last thing we need is him giving Derek 'relationship advice.'"
Jackson scoffed, adjusting his jacket as they stepped into the cool night air. "If Stiles and Derek can survive each other, they can probably survive anything Peter throws at them."
Erica snickered, casting one last look over her shoulder. "You really think Scott's gonna let this go? He hates the idea of Stiles getting close to Derek. Not that I can blame him."
Jackson shrugged. "Scott knows what's up. If it ever comes down to it, Stiles will choose Derek's pack over his. That's what really gets to him."
They all shared a look, silent for a beat as the weight of it settled over them. Scott had always been Stiles' best friend, and the thought of Stiles choosing Derek's pack over his own was... unsettling, to say the least. But after a moment, Erica broke the silence, rolling her eyes and flashing a grin.
"Oh, Scott's gonna have to learn to deal. Besides," she added with a mischievous glint, "maybe this will finally get him to take things a little less seriously. Stiles deserves a little happiness."
Jackson snorted, shoving his hands deeper into his pockets as they walked down the street. "Well, if Stiles can survive Derek, he deserves a medal. But man, watching Scott freak out over this? It's gonna be worth it."
They all laughed, exchanging knowing glances, already anticipating the chaos to come. Whatever drama might unfold, they knew one thing for sure: things were about to get very interesting.
