Jungkook was typing up a reply to an important email, fingers flying across the keyboard, when suddenly, his laptop snapped shut in front of him. He blinked, surprised, and looked up to find none other than his husband, Seokjin, standing there with his arms crossed, an exaggerated pout on his lips.

"Hey!" Jungkook protested with a chuckle. "I was in the middle of something."

Seokjin didn’t respond, just stared back at him with those big, puppy-dog eyes. Jungkook sighed, the feigned irritation already melting away. He got up, rounded the table, and wrapped his arms around Seokjin, pulling him close. Gently, he brushed the stray hairs off Seokjin’s forehead and looked into his eyes.

"What’s making my baby pout?" he asked softly, his tone affectionate as he stroked Seokjin’s cheek.

Seokjin sighed dramatically, placing a hand on his chest as if truly offended. "He called me a betrayer," he muttered, lips jutted out in a pout that made Jungkook’s heart melt.

"Who, sweetheart?" Jungkook’s brows furrowed, a hint of protectiveness in his voice. "Who called you that?"

“Hobi,” Seokjin replied, puffing out his cheeks as if the mere mention of it annoyed him even more.

“Hobi?” Jungkook echoed, his expression a mix of confusion and amusement. “Why did Hobi call you a betrayer?”

Seokjin scoffed, his cheeks still adorably puffed. "We were playing an online game, and he lost because Jimin distracted him." He paused, giving Jungkook a knowing look. “And you know what happens when he loses to me.”

Jungkook nodded, a teasing grin spreading across his face. “Ah, so he owes you dinner?”

Seokjin nodded smugly, but his expression turned defensive as he continued. “Yes! And now he’s calling me a betrayer just because Jimin interrupted him and messed up his focus. It’s so unfair, Kookie.”

Jungkook chuckled, but a sudden thought made his brow quirk. “Wait… Jin,” he began slowly, an amused suspicion in his voice. “Please tell me you didn’t plan this with Jimin just so Hobi would lose and owe you dinner?”

Seokjin averted his gaze, suddenly very interested in a small thread on Jungkook’s shirt. "W-What? Of course not,” he stammered, his voice soft, but he couldn’t meet Jungkook’s eyes.

“Jin…” Jungkook coaxed, tilting Seokjin’s chin up gently with his finger, eyes twinkling with amusement. “Are you sure? I know you and food bets…”

A small smile played at Seokjin’s lips. “Fine! Maybe… maybe I suggested that Jimin should message Hobi right when we were about to win,” he admitted with a giggle, his face turning slightly pink. “But Kookie, you know how much I love winning food bets.”

Jungkook burst out laughing, pulling Seokjin even closer. “Oh, you adorable schemer. And here Hobi thinks you’re all innocent.”

“I am innocent!” Seokjin defended, wrapping his arms around Jungkook’s neck. “Besides, he’d do the same to me if he had the chance!”

Jungkook laughed, pressing a kiss to Seokjin’s forehead. “You’re impossible,” he murmured, his tone full of warmth. “But if anyone’s allowed to trick their friends for a free meal, I guess it’s you.”

Seokjin’s eyes sparkled as he cuddled closer. “Thanks for understanding, Kookie. You always know just what to say.”

Jungkook’s heart swelled, and he thought back to the first time he’d met Seokjin. It had been at a party hosted by Jimin, and Seokjin had walked in, looking radiant and full of life. They’d hit it off immediately, and from that day, Jungkook had known he wanted to make Seokjin happy every day of his life.

They’d been married for a year now, and not a day went by that Jungkook wasn’t amazed by Seokjin’s pure, sweet soul. Every little thing Seokjin did made Jungkook fall deeper in love with him, and he treasured every moment of being able to baby his husband.

Suddenly, Seokjin’s stomach growled, and he blushed. "Uh, speaking of dinner…"

Jungkook chuckled, holding Seokjin’s hand. “Come on, I’ll make us something.”

Seokjin gasped, his eyes wide with excitement. “Are you making your famous ramen?”

“For you? Always,” Jungkook replied with a grin, guiding Seokjin to the kitchen.

As they stood side by side, Jungkook cooking while Seokjin leaned against him, sneaking little bites, the world felt quiet and perfect. Every now and then, Seokjin would peek up at him, his eyes shining with love, and Jungkook would ruffle his hair or kiss his forehead.

Once the ramen was ready, they sat at the table, Seokjin eagerly digging in.

“Mmm, so good!” Seokjin exclaimed between bites. “Why is it that you always make everything taste better?”

“Because I cook it with love for you,” Jungkook said, watching Seokjin with a soft smile.

Seokjin paused, looking up with shining eyes. “I love you, Kookie.”

Jungkook leaned over, brushing a noodle off Seokjin’s cheek and kissing him softly. “I love you too, Jin. Forever and always.”

Seokjin beamed, his cheeks pink as he happily continued eating, and Jungkook’s heart swelled with gratitude, knowing he had everything he’d ever dreamed of right here at this little dinner table.
