"come on y/n, I need you for moral support! maybe just support.. but I need help choosing!"
Dae (D-AE-Y) shakes my arm aggressively while I sit, TRYING to finish my breakfast. We had a sleepover to celebrate graduating high school, at the same time celebrating her birthday.
"Dae, I agreed to give you money for it, not to come with you to buy it. And also you know I have to start either trying to apply for a college or a job." We just finished high school, but it's not like I want to sit around and do nothing. I have inherited money from my deceased grandpa but I don't want to mooch off of that money just because I have it. I've always had things handed to me but now I want to work for it.
Dae then sits next to me with a hard dramatic sigh.
"I don't understand you Y/n, you have enough money to live off of for a few more years and you still want to work?" as she talks she grabs her own spoon just to take a spoon of my cereal.
I give her the rest of my cereal with a chuckle.
"Dae I told you why I want to work, I want to earn things for myself. I want to be able to do things on my own without having it handed to me. "
"well take just one day off please! I need you to help me!" Again she starts her whining and trying to cuddle up to me just to get me to say yes.
"Fine, when do we need to be there." I get up from my chair grabbing the dirty dishes to rinse them out at the sink. "Thats the thing... Today?" Dae says raising her shoulders up at me.
whipping my head around to see her staring back at me.
"Today? why didn't you tell me earlier!? " I groan dropping the sudsy dishes in the sink as I power walk to my room still talking to her. "I wasn't expecting to go anywhere today so I don't have anything ready!!!" I groan again ransacking my clothing drawers to find something to wear. Which was jeans a white tank top and a white flannel flannel jacket.
An hour later me and her arrived to a hybrid pet shop, which I thought was insane but here we are.
As we walk into the shop a woman worker with long blonde hair greets us with a smile.
"Hi! Welcome to bells and collars hybrid adoption center, I'm Samantha how may I help you today lady's?" Her white teeth shines at as as we walk up to the counter.
"My freind Dae here want's to get a hybrid here today if you have any available today" I answer for Dae as the woman smiles back at me.
"well you've come to the right place ladies! we had a huge shipment of hybrids come in just two days ago. we have up to basic dogs and cats to exotic big cats and wild dogs! follow me back here!" she comes from around the desk to open up big white double doors leading us through a hallways that shows multiple habitats with hybrids in there shifted forms all play, she then stops at a specific window showcasing a pack to Dae.
"I know you came here for just one hybrid but this is a pack, Yeonjun, Kai, Beomgyu, soobin, and taehyun. they've been here for a little over 1 year." We listen as she describes the pack, as watch them play together. "we have Soobin, the leader which is a checkered giant rabbit. 23 years old"
"Which one is he?" Dae asks, the curiosity of this group of hybrids intriguing her.
"He's the guys napping on the bed with the black hair" Samantha smiles as she points at the black haired guy before starting to talk again.
"Then we have beomgyu, he's a bangled tiger. I thought it was unusual or prey to be in a pack with such a strong predator and let alone a prey be the leader in this mixed pack. but hes the same age as soobin, 23 years old, next we have yeonjun our fennec fox. He is 25 years old and acts as the protector of his pack while soobin makes the decisions for them."
"Wait how many are there?" I ask, because me and Dae live together and they would have to stay with us which means I have to get a bigger house.
"Don't worry, its just 2 left. And this isn't even the biggest pack we have, we have a pack that consists of 13 members." She jokes as she continues to the member of this pack
"now we have taehyun, the chipmunk. he is 22 and he has a few trust issues as some of the rest, but it will not be hard to gain with a little love and affection right?" she looks at dae with a wide smile
"lastly. we have heuning kai, he has two sisters but we haven't been able to find them yet. but kai is a deer."
Dae nods as she looks at the hybrids in the room, they don't know we are here but i think dae wants them.
"Do you like them Dae?" i ask her and she looks at me with a serious look
"I like them but what if they dont like me? or you. And we would have to find a bigger place and-"
I stop her rambling with a hug
"look Dae, I could help you with this..." I think about what she said earlier about the money i have, I could get a bigger space for us both and her hybrids.
"Ill get a bigger space, So do you want them?.."
"Do you?" Samantha asks from the side.
"Ill take them" Dae smiles at me and samantha
"Well then its settled!" samantha says as she goes to get the adoption papers
