Back Home

Arriving back at his home island, Godzilla lets out a sigh of relief after all that he's been through back in the island of humanity. His slim form has a sheen to it due to the water remaining on his body after his swim with his three rows of dorsal plates appearing to shine in the midday sunlight.

He lets out a roar as if announcing his return as he walks up the shore towards the forest that his home has. With all that he's been through, he just wishes to rest before some other event drags him back to whatever place the humans live. At this point, he's just come to accept that this is his life even if he wish it wasn't.

However, he suddenly stops as he hears a roar in return and he looks towards his left to see another kaiju approaching. Upon seeing them, Godzilla feels his face tug as he gives them a tired smile.

Anguirus smiles happily, the grey colored ankylosaur swinging his tail around like he's an excited dog and causing the spiked club to knock down some trees. Walking over to the other kaiju, the Fierce Dragon stands up on his hind legs and nuzzles the King of the Monster's neck affectionately.

Godzilla lets out a soft growl as he licks the top of the ankylosaur's head to return the affection before said kaiju drops back to all fours. The amphibious reptile keeps walking with the other following closely after until they get to a clearing close to a small mountain.

For a few moments, the King of the Monsters doesn't move as he recalls the previous battle he was in against the golden dragon that had suddenly appeared. It was unlike anything he'd face before and required help from a robot that the humans made to kill him.

That robot...

Godzilla feels his eyes water a bit, remembering that he had to lance that robot through with his breath in order to finally destroy the dragon. It's what needed to be done...but he had been saddened by having to kill it. He made a point in trying not to get too attached to others, but that robot...he'd gotten attached even if he didn't mean to.

Feeling something against his shoulder, the amphibious reptile turns his head to see Anguirus back on his hind legs resting his head there. The ankylosaur kaiju smiles at him, making Godzilla smile back even as a tear goes down his cheek. Seeing this, the Fierce Dragon gently moves close and laps the tear away.

Both soon lay down on their bellies with Godzilla wrapping his left arm around Anguirus' right and pulling him close. The ankylosaur smiles as he nuzzles the reptile's cheek and has his tail wrap around the other's tail.

Godzilla will miss that robot...but at least he's still got Anguirus by his side.
