It was very rare for me to have day visions, but it has happened before. I looked down at the crude drawing and realized that this was one such day vision. The drawing was of a girl with a baseball bat in her hand. I stared at the odd image the girl was very much out of place in the drawing. The girl had dark hair but only from one side she had dyed, white, blue, and even pink into hair in a multicolored sort of way. She had shiny sapphire eyes like a gemstone. Her clothes were not edgy though she had multicolored clothing. A pale pink rose in hair to go along with the one on her shirt. Her jacket was a mirage of stars and multicolored paint with random symbols and buttons. It looked heavy so she mostly had it draped over her shoulders exposing her neck and small shoulders. Her neck was a mess of necklace chains, and a spiky black choker.

The reason she was out of place is she seemed to be leaning against the staircase on the outside of the school. She had about 6 or so people to her right and left also holding various weapons of all shapes and sizes. In the middle of that group, I saw two faces I recognized. One was me, and the other was Kai. They felt so out of place in a school setting that it was almost jarring. I remembered what Jay had told me during lunch about the new gang causing trouble. Judging by their weapons and attire I can already guess that this was probably the gang in question.

If I had not seen this vision, I could imagine we would have been ambushed as we left school Kai and me. This was the chance to change that outcome and avoid our conformation with that silly little crow gang. I could avoid them altogether and take a different route out of the school. However, something about that left a bad taste in my mouth. For starters this was a chance to learn something about these visions. Why had it warned me about the potential danger so late? One other thing was concerning should we take the other exit it we would be dooming another unfortunate person to be mugged by some thugs.

I pinched my nose hard I was getting annoyed now think of the what ifs. I could ask Jay to walk with us out of school I am sure he wouldn't mind, but if they got violent that could cause more issues. I would have to discuss it with Kai I hated to admit it but he was better with this kind of thing. I was better at thinking on my feet, but as far as strategy went well let's just say I have never beaten him at chess.

It was the last hour of the day ideally; I needed to see Kai before the school day ended. I raised my hand during class. My teacher Mrs. Green rolled her eyes at me but granted me a trip to the bathroom. I made my way down the hall our school wasn't all that big so it would be easy to get to Kai. I knew where his last class was it was in one of the outside portable classrooms. Our school didn't have a lot of money flowing our way, so they had to install little portables to make do with space. I usually met Kai outside his portable it was an AP class called Astronomy II. Kai was as I mentioned super smart, he was in all AP and honors. The teachers loved him, and if it wasn't for his choice of friends, I am sure he would be in the popular crowd.

This time I would have to get his attention through one of the windows I knew he sat in a window seat, so I would have to sneak to his window. The small portable sat on the side of the run-down school it had a few graffiti marks on it from some of the older kids. It was also covered in grim from years of neglect from the staff. It was low enough to the ground that I could sneak to his window unnoticed. I got to his side window leaning down to make sure I could avoid any unwanted attention. I slowly sneaked a glance. Kai was in his seat he seemed to be paying attention, but I also saw his phone on his lap. Kai was more of a self-study kind of guy, so I wasn't surprised he was on his phone during a lecture.

It was good he wasn't paying as much attention though, or else he might not hear me. I tore a page from my notebook and wrote a small note. Just a simple we need to talk with a drawing of a danger sign in red. I tapped the window not hard just very lightly making sure I was out of view for the moment.  I glanced up to see him turned towards the window. Once I confirmed he was looking I held up the note. He would know it was me I was the only one that would come looking for him during school hours.

I waited impatiently for him to come outside. After a few minutes it would seem he got the excuse he needed he came outside. He gave me a pensive glare when he saw me. His face said that if I was playing a joke, I would hear it from him in full.

I gestured for him to follow I didn't want to alert a teacher to us sneaking off. We made our way to the other end of the school were a couple abandoned chairs sat lonely and deserted. These chairs were near the front gates, but it seems budget issues hit, and they never finished the tables. Kai eyed me suspiciously once we sat down, "You going to tell me what's going on now?"

I took out the art from earlier and held it up for him to see. He stared at it for a moment then his mouth went wide, "This isn't normal artwork, is it?"

I frowned, "Wish it was. We got a problem. This is a vision and not a good one my friend."

Kai offered, "We should tell Jay."

I shook my head, "We can't tell him if they are violent, it could end worse. We also shouldn't go another route someone else will get mugged in that case."

Kai cursed, "Shit man what do we do in case you aren't aware I don't know karate."

I sighed, "Yeah neither do I. We need a plan."

Kai tugged on the paper a bit, "Hey Nico did you mean to draw this?"

I flipped the paper around, "Huh draw what?"
