maid (y/n) pov

Today's my first day as Jungkook's personal maid, and honestly, I can't decide if I should be thrilled or completely disheartened. Am I supposed to be proud of landing this job, or should I feel like my hard-earned degree has gone to waste? Either way, here I am, diving into the unknown, hoping I haven't made the biggest mistake of my life.

I'm living under the same roof as him but in a different room. Of course. Not that I expected we'd be sharing, but hey—maybe a little less distance would make the job interesting 😉. Instead, here I am, in my own little corner, wondering if this is as close as I'll get to the "exciting career" I dreamed of.

I dressed up for work today, and I have to admit, the maid uniform suits me a little too well. Forget shopping for new outfits—apparently, I've already found my "signature look." Just what every girl dreams of, right? A wardrobe that screams, "Welcome to my career in dusting and mopping.

Wait—I just realized Jungkook hasn't even seen me yet! First impressions are everything, right? So here I am, hoping I've nailed the look in all possible ways. Please let this uniform be worth it.

My door was ajar A girl around my age knocked twice before walking up to me, her face expressionless. "Follow me to the waiting room," she said, her tone leaving no room for discussion. I nodded and fell in step behind her, my mind racing as I wondered what was coming next.

I had to admit, that her accent was impressive.

 Wait—did I mention that I don't speak  Korean?

That's precisely why I ended up as Jungkook's personal maid. I guess my lack of language skills made me the perfect candidate! lol At least I can appreciate a good English accent when I hear one

I reached what was supposed to be the waiting area, but let's be real—it was actually a stunning room that felt more like a luxurious living space than a mere waiting spot. I glanced around and realized I was the only maid here, aside from the expressionless girl dressed just like me. I couldn't help but chuckle to myself. So much for the "waiting area"—if this is where I'm supposed to spend my days, I might just start calling it my new home!

I tried to chat with her, but it was like talking to a brick wall—she didn't care at all. Whatever! Suddenly, I felt someone entering the hall, and it was none other than Jungkook. Honestly, the guy looked so good from every angle that I half-expected a fanfare to follow him. I mean, is it even legal to look that perfect? I had to remind myself to breathe—how was I supposed to focus on my job Mr. Masterpiece?

He spoke to the girl beside me in Korean, and she translated for me. Suddenly, it clicked—now I understood why she was sandwiched between me and him.

With her usual stone-faced expression, she said, "From now on, you'll follow Jungkook whenever he calls." She handed me the phone, and I focused on it as she tapped me, signaling me to follow him. I was like, "Now? Okay, sure!"

I turned to her with a grin and asked, "Are you still going to follow me?" I already knew the answer, of course—her expression was as lively as a rock. But hey, a girl can dream, right? hahaha

JUNGKOOK POV

I decided to hire someone who didn't know Korean for the job, mainly so they wouldn't catch on to the conversations I had with my team. I told Jackson to find someone suitable, and now I can see the person he brought in

Honestly, I don't care to know her, but does she not understand respect? She's just standing there, laughing like an idiot. It's infuriating. I should've known better than to ask Jackson for someone who gets Korean traditions without knowing the language.

But I have my way, I know exactly how to make her learn some manners. She's about to find out the hard way just how serious I can be.

Another girl translated what I said, and I noticed the personal maid clearly enjoying the moment. But let's see how long that lasts. Soon enough, she'll realize this isn't just a job; it's a whole new game, and I'm not the kind of player who takes it easy.

AUTHOR POV

They both entered the car, with Y/N in the back seat and Jungkook driving. It was a secret business, and Y/N didn't know where she was going. She also knew she couldn't question him, as it was part of her contract.

The drive was silent, with neither saying a word. Jungkook pulled up in front of a grand hotel, where three figures were already making their way toward the car.

Y/N was full of curiosity, unsure of what was happening. She gathered the courage to ask a question, but before she could speak, the three men reached the car. One opened the front door, while the others opened the back.

y/n pov

As I trailed behind Jungkook, I noticed he'd taken the driver's seat. For a second, I wondered if I should sit up front or in the back. We're definitely not a couple, so, yeah—the back seat it is but inside I was just a bundle of confusion. What was I even doing here?

The drive was silent until Jungkook suddenly stopped in front of a hotel. And you won't believe it—the grand hotel was nothing compared to the three men strutting toward the car! Seriously, I could hardly take my eyes off them. Talk about a surprise upgrade to my day!

Wait, why are they opening the car doors?

One man is sliding open the front while another is reaching for the back seat—the seat I'm sitting in!

My heart raced as I tried to process what was happening. What on earth were they planning?

I was back to square one, utterly confused about where to sit. This was a five-seater car, and as the maid, was I even allowed to sit with them? I mean, it felt like I was crashing some exclusive party. Should I just stay in the back and pretend to be invisible? the role of a ghostt—just silently floating around in the back seat!

A tall, ridiculously handsome guy with a build that looked like he walked straight out of an action movie signaled for me to move. I froze, staring at him like I'd fully embraced my role as a background ghost, just haunting the back seat. Was it possible to admire and feel invisible at the same time? Because here I was, doing exactly that!

He waved his hand in front of me, snapping me out of my ghostly trance, and signaled again for me to move. Back to reality in an instant, I scrambled to the window side, trying not to look completely flustered. Guess my role as the invisible background ghost was over.
