'Too Slow!' (Sonic x Reader)

Chapter 2: He's Fast

A/N:

You are an A/T (Animal Type)

You can have (h/c) (Fur/Quills/Etc. Color)

You can also have (e/c) (Eye Color)

Y/N's POV: 

Sonic started to head toward me and punched all the robots. The blue blur punched and kicked and did all of these cool moves I've never seen before. Finally, the egg-shaped doctor retreated and flew away.

Sonic was about to speed off when I waved over to him. "Hey! How'd you do that? That was awesome!" He turned around to see me smiling at him, and put a hand on my shoulder, grinning at me. "It was nothing! Egghead's robots are no match for me!" 

"Do you think you could.. teach me?" I asked and he put his thumbs up, grinning once again, looking into my (e/c) eyes. "Of course!" And so that's how our friendship, well, training began. Ever since then, I've learned how to spin dash and punch and kick with Sonic's help. And finally, that's when during that day, Sonic started to notice how lonely I was.

"Hey, (A/T). You got somewhere to be?" I looked away from him, and he could tell I was lonely. I had problems speaking to people, especially a random, blue hedgehog. "You know... you could stay with me and my friends."

I nodded and took his hand. I blushed softly at the feeling of his warm hand, but I shook it off. We walked over to this place Sonic called Hedgehog Village. And so, I thought it looked.. interesting. Before we went to see his friends, Sonic got a chili dog for the both of us.

"This.. isn't bad." I smiled at him and he smiled right back at me. We both ate our chili dogs together and even though it wasn't the best thing I've ate in my life, I haven't ate for 3 days, so this is the best I could get.

"Alright! Follow me!" And so, Sonic took my hand again and we both ran to a nearby looking house. I went in and he introduced me to all his colorful friends. Tails was the caring, nerdy fox. Amy was the sweet, emotional hedgehog. Knucklehead or preferably, Knuckles was the strong, tough and reckless echidna. And Sticks was the fun, crazy and playful badger. 

"So.. where did a (A/T) like you come from?" Amy asked me, and I froze. "I.. don't know. I've been living alone in Green Hills for my whole life." And so, Amy felt sympathy for me and she allowed me to share a room with her. I got some of her clothes, and I picked a (f/c) dress for me to wear.

"Wow.. you look pretty." Amy complimented me and I blushed at the feeling of confidence. I walked over to Sonic, and sat down next to him. I could see his cheeks turn into a shade of red. But, I couldn't understand why he was blushing at that moment. Am I annoying to him?

He was sitting down and turned to play his video game, Super Smash Bros. I've never played video games before. "C-can... you teach me?" Sonic nodded and gave me a controller. "Of course! So... here's how you play..." I listened to every single word Sonic said, and I got the hang of the game easily.

But every time, I chose Sonic as my character. "Hey! You don't have to choose me every single time!" Sonic laughed and took my hands. I blushed and responded, "What's wrong with a little admiration? You are pretty strong in the game and real life itself, right?" Sonic smiled and we both laughed together. We played video games for the whole day, until it was midnight.

By that time, everyone else had already gone to sleep. "Wait.. I didn't get your name, (A/T)." I looked in his eyes, took his hand and smiled at him, "It's (Y/N)." 

Sonic looked at me and grinned, "Wanna be friends?" I nodded and soon enough, i fell asleep on his leg. And he pulled me in tight, the feeling of his warm fur and blue quills were so... soft. I felt the feeling of his hand in my (h/c) fur/quills/etc.,  And soon we were hugging each other into our own, long sleep.
