When the last petal falls

Chapter 1

*** Mia ***

"You stay awake, do you hear me? Don't you dare close your eyes! Please I need you". The red head pleads over her wife's lifeless body.

Mia jumps at the feeling of someone's hand being placed on her shoulder, She turns around to find her blonde haired best friend standing above her "Mia it's time to let her go. She has passed and we all need to accept that she is in a better place and that she's no longer in pain".

Mia looks back down at her wife then back up to Reece and screams "DON'T YOU DARE. DON'T YOU DARE TELL ME MY WIFE HAS GONE. SHE HASN'T SHE STILL ALIVE SHE HAS TO BE I CAN'T LOSE MY LAST ROSE PETAL". Mia rests her hand on Charlotte's cheek and whispers "please come back to me".

*** Two years before ***

"Char come on, we need to go, it's the rehearsal dinner and everyone is already there". Mia calls up the stairs as she does her redhead fiance walks out into the hallway at the top of the stairs.

"Mia it's going to be ok, we will get there in enough time. It's only the rehearsal. I know for sure Marjorie will make sure I won't be late to my own wedding". The redhead says as she walks down the stairs giving her wife to be kiss on the lips before they walk to the door hand in hand.

As the almost married couple walks out to the car, Mia drives to the venue. As they arrive they are met with a rather annoyed Marjorie. "Char, Mia you do know you can't be this late tomorrow considering it's your own wedding". Mia goes to speak but stops at the feeling of Char's hand being placed on her shoulder.

Char looks at Marjorie and in the calmest of voices says "Marjorie it's just a rehearsal you don't have to panic". Marjorie darts the couple an unimpressed look then walks into the venue.

After all the arrangement and walk through was over Mia and Char take themselves off to a separate room. As the pair walk into the room Char looks at Mia in awe then wraps her arms around her neck looking into the tall woman's eyes who leans up giving her a passionate kiss and whispers "Don't tell my wife about this".

Mia leans further into the kiss and smiles "it will be our little secret". The pair lean back still holding each other. Char looks into her red-haired fiancé's eyes and whispers "I truly do love you, you know that right".

Before they can kiss one last time the door opens up to Marjorie, Carly, Autumn and Siobhan walking in. Marjorie looks at Charlotte and says in an excited tone "Are you ready to go have your last night of freedom before you become a Roberts".

As char turns to face Mia she gives her a quick peek on the lips and whispers "I will see you tomorrow my wife to be". Mia goes to respond but before she could get a word out in comes Reece, Winter, Vivian and Eric.

*** Charlotte's party ***

As five nursery workers walk in they are met with a very crowded nightclub. Walk in and over to the quiet corner and take a seat as everyone takes a seat Marjorie looks around the ting group and shouts over the loud music "I'm buying first round so what does everyone want".

Everyone gives her what they want and she walks away to get the drinks but in the corner of Siobhan's eye she could tell something is off with Charlotte. Tapping her lightly she mouths 'Are you ok' but she receives unconvincing smile but before Siobhan could question her further the overly excited red-head walks over to the table carrying a tray fall of drinks as she passes them out she hands Charlotte hers and says "Sara said that the first two rounds are on the house just to congratulate the bride to be". The short red-head looks towards the bar to see Sara smiling at her.

As the night goes on with more drinks coming out and with Charlotte only ordering coke as her excuse is she's getting married in the morning and wants to remember her wedding day.

After a few drinks everyone gets up and heads for the dance floor to dance the night away. As everyone is dancing Charlotte looks at everyone thinking about how blessed she is to have such a supportive group of friends. As she goes to dance again she starts to get dizzy so decides to go outside to get some fresh air.

Walking out of the main door she walks over to a little wall the red-head takes a seat resting her head in her hands. After five minutes of sitting on the cold tiny brick wall she jumps at the sudden feeling of a hand being placed on her back then a soft voice "How long have you known".

Shooting her head up Charlotte comes eye to eye with the tall blond "how long have I known about what, there's nothing to know".

"Charlotte, you expect me to believe that. Me and you may not have had the best of friendships from the start but come on Char to know that yo...".

Before Siobhan could say anything else Marjorie comes stumbling out of the nightclub and with slurred speech says "Hey there's my two best friends in the whole wide world what are you both doing out here". As she walks towards the pair sitting on the wall she stumbles over.

Charlotte and Siobhan but not quick enough as the red-head falls and smacks her head on the floor. As Siobhan sits down next to her Charlotte races into the nightclub and over to the table "Guys how much has Marjorie been drinking since I have been outside".

Autumn lets out an audible sigh and says with annoyed tone "she only had two and half of what she has now. Why anyway".

Charlotte laughs and says "well she just face planted the floor outside Siobhan is out with her now".

Everyone laughs and Charlotte talks again whilst still laughing "how about we head back to mine Mia shouldn't be there as she told me that they're at Reece's place tonight".

As everyone leaves the nightclub and gets into the back of Char's car they head in the direction of the couple's house. On arrival Autumn and Siobhan carry a very drunk Marjorie to the front door whilst Charlotte unlocks the door.

After unlocking the door the pair holding their very drunk friend walk into the living room placing her onto the sofa where she lays down and curls up into a ball and falls fast asleep.

Charlotte walks in after taking off her hills and looks down at Marjorie then up the the rest and says "She's meant to be giving me away tomorrow". After saying that she sits down on the floor with her face in her hands.

Carly sits down next to her placing a hand on her back and says "Char I may only be 18 but if you would like I'm more than happy to give you away at your wedding".

The red-head looks up at the young girl and in an excited tone "omg Carly you would do that for me".

Carly smiles and says "Char your my best friend obviously you can". As the night rolls on and everyone just decides to chill out watching movies. After all the movies were over everyone headed up to bed to get some sleep before tomorrow.
