TW: ABUSE, SELF HARM, AND EATING DISORDERS

Gracie sat on her floor, fiddling with the hem of her shirt. Her girlfriend, Evelina, sat next to her. The two had been together for over a year now, it wasn't that Gracie didn't love the older girl, they just didn't click as much anymore. Not to mention that Evelina was very controlling and slightly emotionally abusive.

Tomorrow, Gracie was announcing her debut album, "Good Riddance", along with the tour. She was still trying to find a photographer for the tour, her cousin, Abby, had taken the "Good Riddance" album cover but she was unable to cover the entire tour.

Suddenly inspiration came to the girl's mind, she quickly stood up and ran to grab her guitar, Eve falling closely behind. Gracie sat down again and started humming to herself, her mind already working overtime.

I, I took the 405
I drove a hundred miles an hour to forget you
And I blew through the traffic light
If I were to go tonight, I think I would regret you

Gracie ignored the side eye she could sense from the other girl, she didn't wanna deal with that shit right now. She knew Eve knew it was about her, but she also knew there was no point in fighting it, it would just end badly.

"Where did you get the inspiration for this?" the older girl asked, annoyance clear in her voice.

"A movie," Gracie mumbled, trying to ignore the question.

"Bullshit," Evelina spat.

"It's not bullshit."

"Yes the fuck it is!" Eve was ready to slap her, but Abby came in the door, which immediately made the older girl retract her hand.

"Gracie, I found a photographer that's able to tour," Abby exclaimed as she ran towards Gracie.

"Really? Who?"

"Her name's Estelle Arden," the blonde responds.

Gracie's face drops, Estelle hates her, they never once managed to become friends on the SOUR tour. She had tried to hard to connect with her, but all she got were bland responses from everything she said.

"Please tell me you're joking."

"No...?" Abby was confused, she had no idea that Estelle didn't like Gracie, "Is there something wrong?"

"She hates me," Gracie stated bluntly.

"Well obviously not since she agreed to work with you."

"She probably just wants the money."

"Or she actually wants to work with you."

"Absolutely not."

Abby just stares at Gracie, she knew her older cousin was stubborn as hell, but she also knew she needs a tour photographer.

"Fine, I'll text her," she huffed, crossing her arms across her chest while looking at the ground.

"Thank you," Abby smiled.

The younger girl soon leaves and Gracie goes to the bathroom, wanting to ignore the inevitable with Evelina. Closing and locking the door, she took a deep breath, running her fingers through her hair. How did she end up in this situation? She should've left when she had the chance, now if she tried to leave, Eve would gaslight her into staying.

Gracie rinsed her face with water, trying to refresh herself somehow. She knew when she goes back out there she's either being screamed at or slapped, she wasn't getting out of this.

The second she made it make out into the living room, Evelina was glaring at her. Gracie silently sat down on the couch, trying not to engage and make eye contact with the other girl.
