Jean smiles warmly, looking up from her desk to see who has entered her office.
Her eyes light up the moment she sees the other walking in, the knight humming sweetly.
"Yes, how can I help you?" She chirps enthusiastically.
A young woman walks in; a relatively new recruit. One with promise.
"I've just taken care of the camps near Starsnatch Cliff,"
She puts her hands behind her back, and smiles.
"So... any new missions for me?"
She asked, with a twinkle in her eye. She was a promising one, this girl. Seemingly rather young and eager, she reminded Jean of herself back in her early years.
Jean looks through some documents, running a hand through her soft, golden hair as her smile remains.
"Thank you for your work, Miss..." She trails off, her attention flickering back to the other as a small, awkward chuckle escapes her lips.
"Forgive me, but I'm afraid I haven't caught your name. What is it if you don't mind me asking?"
She asks kindly, tilting her head to the side.
"I'm Karoline Leopold. I'm still new to the headquarters, so it doesn't surprise me that you don't know me yet."
She grinned.
"But you will in the future, that I can promise you."
The older woman's expression softens as she hears the knight's words. She gives a soft, amused huff at her promise, a hint of pride filling her from the enthusiasm she could see in Karoline.
"Confident too, hm?" She teases with a small smirk. She looks back down at the documents before her, crossing out one with her quill.
Karoline crossed her arms playfully and tilted her head to the side.
"All I'm saying is, I'll be workin' up my way up the ranks in no time!"
A small sound of amusement escapes Jean as she hears Karoline's words. Once again, she is struck by this new knight's enthusiasm and determination.
"I see, so you're ambitious." She comments with a light chuckle, setting her quill down and folding her hands together, staring at Karoline with a slight smirk on her lips.
"You could say that."
She uncrosses her arms and relaxes her once prideful expression, to now a more curious one, waiting to see if there was indeed a mission she could take on.
At her reaction, Jean lets out a soft, low chuckle as she shakes her head.
"You're quite the bold one..." She murmurs, before returning to the topic at hand. She goes back to rifling through the documents on her desk, searching for any available quests for Karoline.
"You're in luck, I do have a mission for you." She murmurs after a moment, a small smirk on her lips as she fishes a particular paper out.
"Ah..."
She walks closer to her desk, eager to hear the details about this new mission.
This one seemed to be about a domain of abyss monsters. Karoline read through it quickly, and nodded. Wasn't too bad.
Although... It definitely wasn't a one person job.
Jean leans back in her chair, watching Karoline with a smile on her lips. Her gaze is intrigued, blue eyes watching as she scans the mission details. She can see the realization of the need for another person flicker in her eyes, and a hint of amusement twitches in the corner of her lip.
