It didn't take long for the students to realize that, aside from the occasional Quirk-related class, most of their time at U.A. was... painfully normal.

Math, English, biology, literature—the standard subjects filled their academic schedules just like any other school. For a hero academy, the focus on traditional academics felt at odds with the extraordinary abilities each student possessed. But U.A. wasn't just a hero school; it was also a prestigious institution, determined to maintain that status.

Still, it wasn't all bad.

The cafeteria, for one, was a welcome change—especially for Izumi. The sheer variety of gourmet meals on offer had been one of the few surprises that made her feel spoiled in such a place. Yet, for the girl, it was more than just about the food.

Most days, after classes ended, the school would grow eerily quiet. Most students went home to their families, a silence settling in the empty halls like a weight. It was strange, living at school. The loneliness, despite being surrounded by others, sometimes gnawed at her more than she wanted to admit.

But the cafeteria became her quiet escape. With the excuse of grabbing a meal in the middle of the afternoon, she could spend a little extra time in the main building, lingering just enough to hear the background chatter. She'd often find herself listening to the strange conversations of the support course students, their voices filled with excitement as they discussed their latest projects and exaggerated plans for new gadgets.

It was noisy, chaotic, and oddly comforting.

But that day, silence and calm were the last things on her mind.

"I am... using the door like a normal person!" All Might's made his entrance, chest puffed out in pride.

The iconic hero, clad in his silver-age suit of red and silver, instantly drew every gaze. For a moment, the air felt electric, as if the very atmosphere shifted in his presence. It wasn't just his sudden appearance that captured their attention, though.

In front of each student, small metallic briefcases sat waiting. They each contained something more precious than anything they'd yet encountered at U.A.—their hero suits. Crafted by companies that worked closely with the academy, each suit was tailored specifically to enhance the students' unique abilities. They were marvels of design and engineering, promising to make the most of each student's potential.

Izumi stared at hers with a mixture of curiosity and confusion. She hadn't given much thought to her suit. In fact, she had never submitted the required paperwork at all. Without a guardian, those details had seemed... too far out of reach, falling out of her conscious mind. Yet there it was, as if someone had taken care of it for her.

The suit inside was heavy with dark tones of deep green and pure black, its design emphasizing stealth and mobility. It was tight, fitted to her body, though reinforced in key areas with the subtle strength of both industrial rubber and metal. But what stood out the most was the cape.

A rich burgundy cloth hung from her shoulders like a mantle, soft but unmistakably present. Her mentor hadn't worn a cape in years, yet today, All Might had chosen to don such a piece from his past. The meaning of the gesture escaped her, but she didn't feel it important. What mattered was the thought behind it. All Might had thought of her—deeply, carefully—and gifted her something they could share.

That was enough.

"Oh, Deku?" Uraraka stepped forward, bubbling with emotion. "You look so cool! Like... like a real hero!" Then, the girl took a step back, scratching her head sheepishly. "I wish I'd put more thought into mine... I ended up with a skintight bodysuit."
