Later that day, after the meeting had ended. Lia is at her desk, trying to keep a low profile, focusing intently on her work to avoid thinking about Jungkook. But the anxiety is still there, lingering at the back of her mind.

She occasionally glances at the door, half-expecting Jungkook to walk in at any moment, demanding an explanation for why she skipped the presentation. Her fingers drum nervously on the keyboard as she tries to concentrate.

Jisoo: [Suddenly came towards her desk] "Hey. Are you okay?"

Lia: [Startled] "Jisoo! Oh, um... yeah, I'm fine."

Jisoo studies her for a moment, arms crossed, clearly unconvinced.

Jisoo: "You didn't look fine earlier. Are you going to tell me what's going on? You seemed... scared."

Lia: [Forcing a small smile] "It's nothing. Just.... You know some sudden sickness. Hehe.. Now I'm feeling okay. How was the meeting. Did it end up well?!

Jisoo: [Shrugging, deciding not to push] "Alright, if you say so.Yeah meeting went well, and they are happy with the turover we have.Just let me know if you need anything."

Lia nods, watching Jisoo walk away, grateful for her discretion. She takes a deep breath, trying to shake off her nerves.
Lia walks out of her office, her bag slung over her shoulder, heading toward the bus station. The day has been long, and her mind is a whirl of emotions from the close call with Jungkook at work. As she approaches the station, her steps slow down, and a chill suddenly runs down her spine.

She looks up, and her breath catches in her throat. Parked directly across the street is a sleek black Rolls Royce, polished and glinting under the streetlights. And inside, seated with an air of calm authority, is Jungkook, watching her intently.

Their eyes meet, and for a moment, she’s frozen in place. His gaze is cold, unyielding, and piercingly intense—just like when she had last seen him at the hotel. She can feel her palms start to sweat as she stands rooted to the spot.

Lia: [Inwardly] “What is he doing here…?”

Jungkook’s expression shifts, and he smirks slightly, his eyes flashing with a warning that sends a shiver through her. He lifts his hand, giving her a subtle gesture, like he’s signaling her to remember who she’s dealing with.

After a moment, he turns his gaze away, starting the car and driving off, leaving her standing there in the middle of the bustling crowd, feeling isolated and vulnerable.

Lia’s heart pounds in her chest, and she finally remembers to breathe. She feels an unexpected wave of fear settle over her, one that she can’t shake off. Even though she had managed to escape him the first time, this encounter felt different—like he was letting her know that he wasn’t done with her.

Lia: [To herself, trembling slightly] “Why am I… so scared? It’s like he knows exactly how to unsettle me.”

She takes a deep breath, trying to calm herself, but the feeling of dread lingers. Her intuition nags at her, reminding her that every time she’s felt this uneasy, something bad has always followed.

She glances back in the direction his car disappeared, her mind filled with unanswered questions. She doesn’t know what he’s planning or why he seems so fixated on her, but one thing is clear - Jungkook isn’t someone who forgives and forgets easily.

Lia finally boards her bus, finding an empty seat by the window. She stares out at the passing city lights, her mind replaying Jungkook’s intense gaze, the warning in his eyes still haunting her.

*As the bus continues its route, she clenches her fists, silently vowing to stay out of his way as much as possible. But a part of her knows that avoiding him won’t be easy—and the worst may still be yet to come.
