After leaving the coffee shop, the two boys walked around, taking their time and enjoying the beautiful view around them. There were pretty festive lights hung up everywhere, and it was such a sight. The cozy smell of warm bread filled up Heeseung's senses, loving how marvelous it smelled. It made him hungry, his stomach grumbling at the thought of how fresh it would be, especially in the chilly, almost numbing weather.
As he looked around, he couldn't believe his eyes. Everything was so festive and pretty, with people smiling brightly all around them. Everyone seemed to be having fun, not a single person by themselves. Suddenly, Heeseung felt really grateful. Despite the cold, he really thought this was all worth it. To be here, admiring the world around him, with Sunghoon.
"Woah, I honestly didn't expect it to be this gorgeous. I thought it was gonna be lame," Heeseung mentions, in awe at how the people hosting this event really took it to the next level with their decorations. Not a single corner of the decorated space was left bland.
Sunghoon smiles as he gazes intently at Heeseung, studying how his face expressed how enthusiastic he was.
"You're right, it's very gorgeous. But I've seen prettier." Heeseung realizes Sunghoon was observing him, with those eyes he usually gives him, and Heeseung gets a bit shy under his icy stare.
"Really? You've seen a prettier event? To be honest, I really do think this is the best I've seen. They went all out," he animatedly evokes, eyes twinkling under the lights. Sunghoon felt his heart flip, not only at Heeseung's breathtaking features, but also his adorable unawareness to Sunghoon's sweet compliment.
He suddenly lets out a chuckle that sends shivers down Heeseung's spine.
"No, you dummy. I meant you. You're the prettiest I've seen."
Heeseung gulps, feeling heat rise to his face and his heart skip a couple beats too many. Sunghoon really was a bad influence on his health. The next thing he knows, he'll probably be on his death bed soon due to how fast his heart had beaten in the past hour. He really needed to take a deep breath or something. He then looks the other way, anywhere but Sunghoon, as looking at him for any longer would surely cause him to go to a hospital.
"Geez, why are you like this?" Heeseung murmurs under his breath as he then walks a bit faster, annoyed at himself for not being able to hide his nervousness around Sunghoon. Sunghoon quickly runs a bit to catch up to him, leaning in close to Heeseung's face.
"You like it, he whispers in his ear, causing Heeseung to freeze.
Heeseung's breath hitches in his throat when he feels Sunghoon's hand on his back, trailing down slowly to his waist.
"Let's just keep walking," he quickly mumbles in an annoyed manner as he walks away again, completely ignoring Sunghoon's out of pocket comments and actions.
"What? Don't like being touched or something?" he teasingly jokes around, smirking at Heeseung when he sees his eyebrows furrow and his lips curving down into a pout. Sunghoon really badly wanted to kiss it off.
"Not by you."
"Wow. That's Sunghoonphobic."
Heeseung rolls his eyes.
"Can you stop being stupid for one second?"
"No. For some reason, whenever I'm around you, I can't control myself," Sunghoon hums, closing his eyes and dramatically sighing as he throws himself on Heeseung, his head harshly hitting his shoulder.
"Ow! Calm down," Heeseung lectures, and Sunghoon giggles cutely. Although moments ago he was denying his love for Sunghoon, he melts, not being able to hold in his soft spot for him. "You should be grateful that you're cute. Otherwise, I would've pushed you off by now."
