Helen was excited as she walked through the White House on her way to the Oval Office, or at least
she would have if she could see or move right now. Helen was blindfolded, quite ironically, and
was invaded in a guard dam which as she was prodded along towards her destination. Anne was
being toted along next to Helen and squished in a similar guard sandwich. Suddenly the guards
stopped and Helen and Anne were tossed into the room, right at the feet of President Dwight
Eisenhower. Anne quickly started screaming at him when the guards finally loosened their death
grip on her. When she saw who it was her screaming hastily turned to pleading and apologetic
blathering. She clearly knew why they were there. Mr. President wasn't someone who beat around
the bush. It only took one sentence for Anne to give up on any hope she had of this being a
mistake.
" So you're the mad serial killer eh?" Helen felt out of "the loop" , if you will, as Anne and the
President fought it out. Soon Helen felt someone's hand gently grabbing hers, this wasn't Anne's
but it began writing out words,
"H-E-L-E-N, W-H-A-T W-E-R-E
Y-O-U D-O-I-N-G L-A-S-T W-E-E-K?"
Helen couldn't answer at first, as she was to confused as to how this person was able to
communicate with her, but she soon came upon a different problem. She couldn't remember what
she had done last week. No matter how hard she tried. So she simply replied that she didn't
remember. Anne was then asked the same question. She nervously replied that she had spent it
continuing her lessons with Helen, and the reason Helen didn't remember was because the lessons
were all so boring and tedious for her they all probably faded into the background of her mind.
President Eisenhower wasn't elected for nothing and was a smart person. It only took one
statement for Anne's hope to vanish along with what sanity she had left.
"I never said anything about Helen's answer." With that last remark Anne collapsed and admitted
to everything. She was taken away and imprisoned for her crimes. Alexander Grahm Bell couldn't
bring himself to tell Helen all that had happened so he, along with the President slowly explained
what had occurred to Helen. Helen could do nothing but curl up and cry. Just days later Alexander
came by to check up on Helen only to find her house cleaned out. He would never know anything
more than that she had used her power for the last time. She had froze herself in an act of atonement for all the pain she had caused.
No one knows where Helen Keller ended up, although most scientists and speculators suspect she now lives in Alaska, where the bears are fruitful, quietly living out her days in a peaceful log cabin.
