Chapter 2 "StarBucks"

We stepped out of the car in front of the Starbucks building and Drew said "we'll while you get you coffee even though your 16, I'll be over there." He was pointing towards a big concrete block. The concrete was big enough for an elephant. When I walked in I instantly smelled coffee beans. The scent gave me a warm fuzzy feeling inside that made me feel safe. I walked up to the man and order a pumpkin spice latte and a blueberry muffin for Drew. I looked around the coffee shop to see if there was anybody I knew here. Nope. I picked up my drink and the muffin and paid. I was walking towards the door when I ran into a running person and we both fell. Turns out the person was a he. I fell on top of him and he spilled his drink all over himself. We stared at each other surprised and embarrassed. "Umm, sorry. I was in a rush to get my stuff" he said and turns out his drink was just milk so he obviously didn't get burnt and the milk got on his face. "Oh my gosh I am so sorry!" I yelled before he could say anything thing else. He just chuckled and said "Wait right here, I'm going to go get napkins for us" he walked towards the man that got me my order. He than came back and handed me a napkin. "Thanks but I got barely any milk on me." I said trying to not sound like I was embarrassed. It's crazy but only like five people noticed. So instead I handed the napkin back to him. He went to the bathroom to see what he was doing and he came back with new clothes on? I didn't say anything because he could work here and have extra clothes here. I sat down at a table and he asked me "I'm Austin, what's your name?" Austin is a cute name and suits him perfect. I just realized that Austin was like me. He had brown hair, but no purple ends. He is tall and I'm short. Wow, maybe we're not that the same. "Anna. Um I have never seen you around here. Are you new here or do I just know like half of 1% of the population?" I ask expecting for him to laugh and say he's been here for forever "yeah, I just moved here for the rest of highschool. I'm 16 so I'm on my last two years of highschool. You? Or are you like out of highschool?" He asked me "yeah me too." I said. We were staring into each other's eyes and we were probably thinking the same thing. 'what are you thinking about' I got interrupted in my thoughts when I felt a hand touch my shoulder. I looked around to see who it was. Drew. I forgot all about him. "Are we going to go now?" He asked with a impatient tone in his voice. "Yeah, we should probably get to school. Bye Austin." It takes us until we're out of Starbucks to realize he is 16, in the same grade and he's not headed to school. "One second..... I got you a muffin" I walked back inside "hey! I just want to go!" Drew was yelling at me. When I got in I couldn't find Austin anywhere or anyone anywhere. Starbucks had no one in it. But like 5 seconds ago it had like 20 people in there. The Coffee shop looked bare with nobody in it. So I just walked back out and got into the car where Drew was supposed to be waiting for me. I got out of the car and looked around and I saw him with his friends at the cement block. "Drew come on we have to go to school!" I yelled at him. "Bye guys see you soon at school." He said than he whispered something into all of their ears he than ran towards me and we left to go to school.
