Ishan stepped out of the Rolls-Royce, his eyes widening as he took in the opulent facade of Umang Hospital.

The seven-star hospital's entrance resembled a luxury hotel, with a grand reception area that exuded elegance.

The high ceiling, adorned with intricate chandeliers, seemed to stretch up to the sky. Beautiful paintings of horses, crafted by skilled artists, adorned the walls, adding a touch of sophistication.

The floor, polished to perfection, reflected Ishan's image like a mirror. Soft, soothing music filled the air, calming the nerves of patients and visitors alike. Harivansh gestured, and a man with a commanding presence stepped forward.

"Dr. Jain, our chief surgeon and cancer specialist," Harivansh introduced.

Dr. Jain's confident smile put Ishan at ease. "Ah, Ishan, pleased to meet you. We've been taking good care of your father."

"Thank you, sir," Ishan replied, gratitude swelling in his chest.

Dr. Jain began explaining the treatment plan, "We'll commence chemotherapy soon. Your father's cancer is localized, and we're confident of containing it. The tumor is removable, and we'll schedule surgery once his overall health improves."

Ishan listened intently, his mind racing with questions.

"What are the chances of...success?" Ishan asked.

Dr. Jain's expression turned reassuring. "Excellent, Ishan. The cancer hasn't spread to vital areas. With proper care and treatment, your father will recover."

Ishan's tension eased slightly.

Harivansh nodded. "Ishan, your family will receive the best care possible. Rest assured."

With a nod, Ishan followed Dr. Jain and Harivansh to his father's room.

As he entered, his mother looked up, tears welling in her eyes. His brother Rohan stood off the sofa, and walked towards him.

"Bhaiya, who are these guys? They told us they want to help, but also instructed us not to disturb you in your sleep," Rohan said, his brow furrowed with concern.

Ma's eyes, red-rimmed from crying, looked up from Papa's bed. "They took your father inside and ran so many tests on him. Is he going to be okay now? Who is that old man? He was there when they took your father."

"Yes, Ma, Baba will be okay,. The old man is the guy I saved yesterday. I wanted to help us out. " Ishan reassured, trying to alleviate her worries.

Ma's face relaxed slightly, and she folded her hands in gratitude."Thank God he brought an angel to help us out."
Her expression turned skeptical. "But what does he want in return?"

'Well, he wants me to marry his son, essentially making me his or kulvadhu, The Gold Bangles that you saved for you daughter in law is going to be worn by son who will wear it for his husband', He knew he cant share this wierd fever dream of a situation with his mother at this  time.

"Nothing," Ishan replied innocently, avoiding her gaze.

His mother's eyes lingered on him, unconvinced.

Ishan excused himself, searching for Harivansh. However, the old man had vanished. Ishan patted his pockets, his bandaged hands making the task cumbersome. Finally, he found Harivansh's business card in his back pocket.

He recalled their conversation:

"I'm really grateful, sir, but I'm not sure I can...give up my sexuality," Ishan had said.

Harivansh's expression turned understanding. "I know, and I won't force it upon you. I helped your father to repay you for your bravery, not to pressure you."

Harivansh handed Ishan the black card. "I cannot disclose details until you agree to consider my proposal. Take care of your family first. If you're interested, call me. I truly want someone like you to care for my son."

Ishan had nodded, tucking the card into his pocket.

The card read:

Harivansh Raichand
Chairman, Raichand Group
+91 99xxxxxxx67

Now, staring at the card, Ishan wondered what Harivansh's true intentions were.
