School lunches in 3 words Not. Enough. Time.
If we don't have enough time to eat food it all go's down hill verry fast. At my school they let you go to lunch at 12:15 and we have to be in class by 13:15 so an hour to eat lunch but if you think about it its no enough time.
lesson ends at 12:15, 5 minutes to get to the lunch hall from class because its the 'rush hour' that gets us up to 12:20. it takes about 15-25 minutes if you're queuing for school meals that takes us up to about 12:45 if you're at the back of the queue. then look to see where your friends are because you don't want to look lonely and you want to talk to your friends that takes 2 minutes getting us up to 12:47. 3 minutes to get your friends to stop picking at your food (A/N a real problem for me) that gets you to 12:50. You realize that you have a commute (for those of you that don't know its when during lunch you have to walk to the other campus with a teacher if your from year 7-8). the commute leaves in 5 minutes and you haven't started your food you eat your food, careful not to choke with your friends rushing you. your friends leave not wanting to miss the commute. you feel so alone and when you finish you run outside with your bag only to see that the commute has left. you go down to reception to tell them that you need to be commuted down and they give you a 15 minute detention for after school. when you get home your parents have gotten an email telling them about the detention and they are disappointed with you. your brain fills with guilt and you get little sleep due to this.
the next day your notes in class are sloppy and mostly incorrect because of the lack of sleep. it gets to lunch time and every thing happens the same s the previous day except one thing. when you get that 5 minutes to eat you scoff down your food so fast you feel sick. you tell a teacher that you feel sick and they call your parents to pick you up. they are still disappointed in you from yesterday so they believe your lying. you feel so alone in all this and are counted as a bad student because your grades are low and you are often late to the commute meaning you are missing class.
