𝐒𝐀𝐌𝐈𝐑𝐀 𝐖𝐀𝐒 𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐘 𝐏𝐎𝐏𝐔𝐋𝐀𝐑 to the press, both her and her club knew that, and used it to their advantage. to be honest, she felt herself being drained to the extent that she honestly didn't feel like going to any of the interviews, but if amira had hope to atleast make the starting eleven one day, she had to comply to whatever she was told with the club.
"amira." her name gets called, catching her attention. the girl was currently just sat on the floor with u21 england teammate and spurs player lenna gunning-williams, who had agreed to attend with her that day, as she had no training. "just this way." the man continues, waving his hand into the room that was behind where he was stood.
samira groaned internally, throwing her head back "see, i can barely get into the starting eleven and i'm getting interviewed more than anyone else, unfair really." she complains, slowly getting off the uncomfortable carpet underneath the two girls "it's only unfair because you're one of the best liverpool have, and you can barely get minutes." lenna nods, taking samiras hand that was helping her up, before the two enter the room where the interview was being held, a small group of people already formed in there "they just wanna get your opinions on it, and we all know how you speak too much." she mumbles in addition, before taking a seat in the small audience watching, whilst samira took a seat at the front, the bright lights shining in her face.
samira wasn't too bad at interviews, not the best but not the worst, and that's where she was being tricked. she wasnt media trained, meaning that she had no idea for what a right or a wrong answer would be like.
"so.. samira." a young media reporter starts to speak, clearing his throat in the process "you're a young star, playing for england under twenty threes at just nineteen, how does that feel for you?" he asks, watching the words run through her head, as she musters up an answer
"well it's just like anyone else isn't it? like mia enderby, who's doing much better than me by the way, is on her way to the starting eleven for liverpool, and is brilliant for england at the moment." samira nods, shying away from expanding her ego, which had fallen short in the past few months. the reporter nodded quietly, before he speaks up once again
"do you think you deserve a spot in the starting eleven for liverpool?" he asks a dodgy question, which could end in one of both ways. either she says the truth, or humbly answer, samira going for the safest option.
