Chapter 1: Dawn of the Doors

Well this was unusual.

First, the Rising Volt Tacklers were all having a big clash with their enemy, the Explorers, and now they've ended up in a strange lobby-like area with multiple elevators lining the room. Everyone was just standing there, shocked, until Liko spoke up.

"WHAT THE F-"

"Language, Liko." Amethio cut in, just as confused as everyone.

Liko listened to her fellow crew member and took a few deep breaths. Her best friends, Roy and Dot, were both looking around the room with Friede, while Lizzy was examining a boarded-up corridor near a fireplace. Liko finally managed to calm down until someone else spoke up, causing everyone to stop what they're doing.

"Oh come on! We almost won too!!"

It was Coral, one of the Explorer admins. Looks like they got tossed here too. Spinel, Sidian, Hamber and Chalce were all also there, giving the Volt Tacklers a hostile glare. Friede, Amethio, Liko, Roy and Dot all approached them, returning the glare.

"Now look at what you've done." Friede snapped.

"What we've done?! You started the fight!"

"WE STARTED THE FIGHT?! YOU TRIED TO GET TERAPAGOS AGAI–" Roy was about to yell, before Lizzy spoke up from the other side of the room.

"Arguing is not going to get us out of here, so I advise you all to politely SHUT IT."

The Volt Tacklers stopped trying to argue. Lizzy was normally a calm and collected person, but she means business when she's annoyed. Spinel smiled smugly and approached her, much to everyone's displeasure.

"So, you know how to get out of here?" He asked, while Lizzy messed around with the fuse box of one of the elevators.

"I may have an idea. So I advise that both you and your team stop trying to fight with mine. Just for now." she said, as the elevator door finally opened after some tinkering.

She turned to everyone else and addressed them properly.

"The elevator is our only way out. The entrance doors are locked. Also, I only managed to get one elevator working, and it can hold five people at a time, so you all pick who's going first."

Everyone pointed fingers at each other, which made both Lizzy and Amethio collectively sigh and facepalm. Since there were ten people there, they decided to split into two groups temporarily, with Friede, Liko, Roy, Dot and Amethio in one group and Lizzy, Spinel, Chalce, Sidian and Coral in another group. Friede's group went in the elevator first while the other group waited for it to come back down. Chalce noticed that Lizzy seemed oddly calm about the situation, but decided to ignore it.
