Cases POV:
After that date, I was ESSACTIC; I went to sleep peacefully and woke up thinking about my love, texting her, calling her, and going on more dates! But... something was... strange. Dolores would only call me at a specific time of night, and we had yet to make it official, which is weird because she always wanted to, and I did, too.
After weeks of questioning whether she loved me, I asked her if we could meet at a park bench to talk. She said yes. So at 8 pm on a Thursday, we met at the park bench.
"Hey, babe!" Dolores said, excited, but her voice had a nervous tone. Other than that, I was happy she showed up early this time. "Hey... so I have to ask you something." I cleared my throat and sat up. "Why won't you make it official with me?" Her eyes widened as I said that, like something inside her burning. "Dolores... if you fell out of love with me," I cut myself off and stood up, looking down at her with saddened eyes. "...Just tell me. It's hard enough that I've been with you for weeks now, but you won't do anything. What are we?" Tears filled both of our eyes, and she tried to answer, but her voice was so shaky, and she was so caught up, maybe wondering why I would ask that.
Dolores POV:
My brain was scrambled; everything wasn't coming together. I had to tell him the truth, but I couldn't. Why couldn't I? Why was it so hard??? But suddenly...
"I'M SORRY, BUT I HAVE A HUSBAND AND KIDS!" I blurted out. I covered my mouth and then started crying. "I was so in love with you I didn't think about them... I'm so sorry this is all my fault, ca-." Before I could keep apologizing, he cut me off with a simple "It is your fault. Goodbye, Dolores." then I saw him roll off. I was devastated, but I needed to go back to my family.
Cases POV:
When I got home, I felt sick to my stomach. How could she? Why? But whatever. I guess I have to move on, too. I got up and looked at John Pork's and my wedding picture before he was bacon—before it was gone and before my life was turned around for the worse.
