"What's your pain tolerance like?"
Seoyeon asked, earning only a shocked gaze from Yooyeon. "Something wrong?" She tilted her head, and pouted so conflictingly cute that it only made things more surprising to Yooyeon.
Seoyeon had been her closest friend since kindergarten, Yooyeon had been a bit shy, reserved in her early school days, and Seoyeon helped her come out of her shell.
She was soft, sweet, everything she could've wanted in a friend. She felt so pure, so innately innocent.
If it wasn't for her tender support, Yooyeon may have never gained the confidence to run for student body president, and it was that very experience that lead her to her corporate lifestyle.
The tech industry was a second home to Yooyeon, always a bit on the nerdy side, but not born with a natural assertiveness that came in association with those jobs.
Seoyeon taught her how to stand up for herself in her adolescence, helped her become more confident in preparation for success. And they were close, for a while.
But when they approached their twenties, Yooyeon was the first to leave their neighborhood in Los Angeles, in preference of the distant California area, Silicon Valley.
She never made the effort to reconnect with Seoyeon after that, just never sought the need to. She honestly figured that someone like Seoyeon would have a family early on.
Seoyeon was upset, she never made it clear to Yooyeon, but she knew that much just from knowing Seoyeon.
Yooyeon didn't know what to do, she was afraid, afraid of corrupting Seoyeon, who'd appeared as someone so pure. Afraid of the inconvenient feelings she had for her.
This confusing conflicting was something she buried in the back of her brain, hoping to forget it. Another stress that piled onto a long list of them, because work made her life more difficult.
Her boss hated her, and Silicon Valley was filled with tech bros that ordered her around as if she meant nothing, in spite of lacking her je ne sais quoi.
So she played the devilish game of distraction with her free time, and it lead her down a rabbit hole that ended in a certain fixation. One that involved some... Alternative fantasies.
She wanted someone to take control of her, to lead her, so she could let go off all of her stress, all her worries, everything. Someone to make her hurt, because the feeling made her lose concept of reality.
And so, for a long while, she'd been looking for a proper dominatrix, one that could accompany her particularly submissive traits, and take care of her well.
