The sun was beginning to dip beneath the horizon, casting a warm glow across the sprawling campus of Ivy Heights University. It was the kind of evening that made everything feel alive, from the rustling leaves to the distant hum of laughter echoing through the pathways.

Avneet Kaur was sitting on the edge of the fountain, her eyes focused on the pages of her notebook, though her mind seemed to be somewhere far away. She had always been a dreamer, lost in thoughts about the future, but today was different. She couldn't shake the strange feeling that something was about to change.

Across the courtyard, Siddharth Nigam was walking with his friends, his usual carefree smile lighting up his face. Tall, with an athletic build, and an effortless charm that seemed to attract everyone, Siddharth was a force of nature at Ivy Heights. He was the kind of person who everyone noticed, but today, his gaze was drawn to a girl sitting by the fountain.

There was something about her—her dark, expressive eyes that seemed to see right through the world, the way her hair caught the last rays of sunlight, the quiet grace with which she sat. He didn't know her name, but he felt a strange pull, as though his destiny had just shifted its course.

"Hey Sid, you okay?" one of his friends nudged him.

Siddharth blinked, momentarily snapping out of his thoughts. He gave his friends a half-hearted smile. "Yeah, just... I think I saw someone I know."

"Really?" his friend asked, raising an eyebrow. "Since when do you know anyone who looks like that?"

Siddharth chuckled, but he couldn't shake the feeling that today was the beginning of something special.

The next day, fate seemed to work its magic. Avneet was sitting in the campus library, nose buried in a book for her literature class, when a voice interrupted her focus.

"Excuse me, are you Avneet Kaur?"

Startled, she looked up, her gaze locking with Siddharth's warm brown eyes. Her heart did a little flutter in her chest, though she quickly masked it with a polite smile.

"Yes, I am," she replied, unsure of why he was addressing her.

"I'm Siddharth," he said, offering a friendly grin. "We met yesterday. Well, not exactly 'met,' but I saw you by the fountain."

Avneet raised an eyebrow. "I didn't realize I was a public spectacle."

Siddharth laughed, clearly not offended by her sarcastic remark. "Not at all. I just... had a feeling I had to come over and say hi. And here I am, interrupting your study time."

"I was distracted anyway," Avneet admitted, closing her book. "I've been thinking about the upcoming semester. It's going to be a lot of work."

Siddharth smiled, settling into the chair across from her without asking. "I'm in the same boat. But, maybe... we can study together sometime?"

Avneet felt a flicker of hesitation. She wasn't the type to open up easily, especially not to someone she had just met. But there was something about Siddharth—the way he made her feel comfortable, like he understood the pressure of being a student without saying much. She thought about it for a moment, then shrugged.
