Ben's POV:

Everyone in the room suddenly stiffened at Erica's presence due to two reasons:

1. No one actually expected Erica to show up, no matter how much they shipped Berica.

2. Erica was now glaring at Zoe so coldly I thought that there would be a blizzard outside. It was honestly really scary. Apparently, she had heard what Zoe said about her.

Zoe hadn't noticed. "Aww c'mon Ben, you know Ice Queen is obsessed with you! You should try to persuade her again. Surely she won't turn down her boyfriend's orders! Besides, it's a miracle she hasn't kissed you yet!"

Apparently, nobody had found out about Vail or the Emperor yet.

Zoe continued to rattle on, oblivious of Erica.

"Umm, Zoe, you should look behind you," Mike said. Zoe scoffed.

"I am not falling for that old trick. I have brain cells you know!"

"Smart, but this time, it's not a trick."

Zoe whirled around to find an enraged Ice Queen glaring at her. Naturally, she shrieked. All along the hallway, students were popping out of their rooms, armed with guns and knifes and whatnot. I had the feeling they were hoping to find an assassin. All it took was one glare from Erica to send them all scurrying back into their rooms.

"Can we start now and stop wasting time? Or should I go back to training in the artillery range?" Erica asked, scowling at Zoe.

"Umm ... let's start?" Zoe squeaked as she sat down in her chair. Erica sat down in the only empty chair (beside me) with a sigh.

Was this chair setup intentional?

Erica's POV:

UGG. Whose idea was it to make me and Ben sit side by side? Though it might not be so bad- Shut up. You are ERICA HALE! You do not have feelings for this boy. Or do you? I sighed and sat down. This was going to be a long game.

Ben's POV:

"Alright," Zoe said, "Truth or Dare..." Her gaze swept the room.

Trixie stood up. "Guys I'm a little thirsty so I'm gonna go get water real quick." She hurriedly left the room. The moment she did, Zoe called out, "Mike." She batted her eyelashes innocently.

Mike grinned wolfishly. "Dare. I'm no wimp unlike little bro over there." He nodded at me, and everyone except for Erica sniggered.

"HEY! That's not the right way to treat your best friend!"

Zoe rolled her eyes. "Anyways, Mike, I dare you to..." She whispered into his ear. The colour drained out of Mike's face instantly.

"I am SO not doing that!"

"A dare is a dare!" Zoe glared at him. And of course, Svetlana had her back.

"Zoe's right. A dare is a dare."

Mike silently cursed and said something about Zoetlana and Svetlana being like Warren. It took approximately 0.000027636 seconds for a shoe to hit his forehead. "Ow!"

"Mock Svetlana one more time and it won't be just a shoe hitting you," Zoe put her shoe back on. Svetlana just sat there confused about who Warren was.

"Fine I'll do the dam (PJO anyone?) dare," Mike grumbled, rubbing his forehead.

Trixie chose that exact moment to walk in. A malicious glint appeared in Zoe's eyes, and at that moment I started questioning whether Zoe could be really considered as a trustworthy friend.
