Aurora

Me: Guys! We have a suspect!!!!

Asshole: Agent, it's 5am.
I may have changed his name last night.

Ash: No interrupting the lady please. Aurora, go on.
I chuckle before typing.

Me: So, the jars had fingerprints on them.

Ash: GUILTY! CASE CLOSED YOUR HONOR!

Asshole: We're looking for a killer not a drug dealer idiot.

Ash: Right, please go on.
I roll my eyes.

Me: The cops matched it to a guy and they're going to arrest him tonight because Ben had the same drugs in his DNA.

Asshole: They did something right.

Duncan: Before this gets political, will all of you go to sleep! And Ash if you turn the light on and off again one more time I'm going to kill you in your sleep.

Ash: *Thumbs up emoji*

"At least there's a suspect now." Are the first things I hear Ash say when I enter the class. They all have their backs to the door talking in hushed -not enough for no one to hear- voices.

I sigh, shaking my head when they all turn to me. "We don't have a suspect." I put my backpack down. "The guy was killed before anyone could arrest him." I'm not surprised that they don't know. I learned it about three hours ago.

"He's dead?" Ash asks with wide eyes. "The guy suspected for the murders got fucking murdered?" He shakes his head dramatically and then winks at his brother, mimicking Duncan's voice. "Ironic"

Duncan rolls his eyes. "Back to square one then?"

I nod but Liam stops me.
"Hold on a second, where was he killed." The idiotic asshole is a genius.

"The bar."  I answer, I don't know what he's thinking but he looks like he might say the smartest thing in his life.

"So... let's take a look around ourselves." Damn it, he had no plan.

"Look at what?" Selin asks, opening my bag and finding the chocolate I got for her. "The cops probably cleaned up everything already."

"I don't know, maybe we'll talk to someone." He shrugs. I think the brain capacity is full for the hour.

The bell saves everyone from this conversation and we go to take our seats.

Liam

The bar is even dirtier than I thought it would be. And that says a lot.

To be completely honest, I had no plan when I asked Aurora where the guy was killed and I don't really have a plan now.
That's probably why Aurora and I make a good team. She's the brain, I'm the muscle. She could probably kill me though.

"This is it?" I look around.

The place looks like a haunted shack more than it does a bar. There are some shattered glass here and there. Something I think -and would like to believe- is beer is splattered across the walkway, turning the brown wood a little more darker as it drips from various places.

Ash makes a disgusted face. "Yep, this is it."

Aurora moves to open the door, it's surprisingly unlocked.

I stop her from opening the door. "Whoa, Agent. I don't think we're allowed in there."

"Don't worry man, the place is closed. No one is in there." Ash says.
That's confident for a place unlocked, in a town being haunted by a murderer.

"I forgot to ask, is this guy or gal a serial killer yet?" Selin asks once we're fully inside.

"Nope, they need one more." Surprisingly enough, the respond comes from Ash and not Aurora.

"When are we done here?" Duncan asks, sounding bored. That should be a talent.

"A few minutes." Aurora says, stomping the heel of her shoe on the floorboards.

Selin looks at her like she lost her mind. "What are you doing exactly?"

Aurora shushes her harshly and stomps her heel on another board and an audible klick is heard. "Jackpot!"

"Thats it. She lost it." Ash shakes his head, sighs. "Fun while it lasted."

"Please, do me a favor and shut your mouth. Permanently." Aurora fires back and then lifts the floorboard with the front of her shoe.

Did she just casually discover a hidden compartment?
Goodness, I love this girl.
Why is my brain talking without permission?

"Agent? I think we all need an explanation." I state, gesturing toward us.

She glares at me. Still don't like the nickname I guess. "My great-uncle owned the bar before he died." I tilt my head at her. "Martha Jackson was his girlfriend." She drops the bombshell at our feet.

"And why did I not know that?" Selin crosses her arms and leans on the table.

"Not my favorite family story." Aurora closes the compartment again. "Empty." What was she expecting to find?

"Wait. I saw something." Selin lifts the compartment again and sticks her hand in there. "Gotcha." She pulls out an old journal with a small star button. "Any chance your uncle mentioned this?"

"No." Aurora opens her hand and Selin hands the journal to her. She flips the pages, her eyes widen as they trail over the pages with incredible speed. "Holy shit. Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit."

The girls hand the journal to Duncan, Ash and I look over his shoulder to read.

I don't think Aurora's shits were enough.

This is not a childhood diary or a list of high school crushes. This is a detailed list of who she killed and how she killed them.

"No way in the fucking hell." Ash rips the journal out of his brother's hands and flips through the pages. "Holy fucking god."

"Anyone have the stomach to go through all of that?" Aurora asks with a wary glance toward the journal,  like it might come to life and eat her. I honestly wouldn't be surprised.

Selin takes the journal from Ash's hands. "I got it."

Warning: If you're afraid of psychotic shit, I recommend you do not read the part written in Italic. It's an exert from the old killer's journal.

August 5.
The judge finally shut up.  I am a little sad about it. I realized, I love the feel of blood running through my fingers while the screams echo in the room. Not that anyone would ever be able to hear him. My gloves and clothes are wet with blood, the judge is silent and I am going to have to clean up so much stuff. I could probably get someone to do it for me but if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself. What would happen if I left the body for them to find instead of pictures? How much pleasure would the horrified screams give me then? No one can recognize him right now though. Maybe I should do that part with the most of the body still intact.
Time of death: 03:44 am

I honestly couldn't write anymore. That is disgusting and I don't think I will ever write that ever again. Correction, no one can make me write that thing again.

Hopefully you guys enjoyed it [not the last part, if you enjoyed that get help.]

Love you all 💗
