Sid downed shot after shot, his eyes fixed on some distant point. The music and laughter surrounding him faded into the background.
Kiana watched, concern etched on her face.
"Sid, stop... You're going to make yourself sick." Emily tried to intervene.
Sid ignored her, his expression unyielding.
Brian also tried to intervene, but Sid brushed him off.
"Let him be," Crisanto said, observing from a distance. "He's losing control."
Kiana's discomfort grew. She stood up, grabbing her purse. "I'm leaving."
Clara protested, "But Kiana, the night's still young!"
Kiana shook her head. "I need some air."
As she turned to leave, Sid's gaze snapped to hers. For a moment, their eyes locked.
Kiana hesitated, expecting him to stop her. But Sid's gaze dropped, his attention returning to the shots.
With a heavy heart, Kiana turned and disappeared into the crowd. Outside, the cool night air enveloped her. She hailed a taxi, her mind reeling.
"What's wrong with Sid?" she wondered. The taxi drove off, leaving the pulsating club lights behind. Meanwhile, inside the club, Sid's drinking spree continued.
"Mine only mine," Sid growled, slamming the empty shot glass on the counter. He stumbled out of the club, into the crisp night air. The neon lights blurred around him.
Sid staggered towards his bike, parked by the curb. He swung his leg over the seat, grasping the handlebars.
"Kiana..." he muttered, starting the engine. The roar of his bike echoed through the night as Sid sped away from the club.
Destination: Kiana's home.
Intoxication clouded his judgment, but one thought drove him:
“She's mine. I need to make sure she's safe.” The wind whipped through his hair as he weaved through the streets. Suddenly, a red light ahead. Sid swerved, narrowly avoiding a collision.
A horn blared. Sid's heart raced. Undeterred, he continued, driven by possessiveness. Kiana's face haunted him – her worried expression, her departure.
What if she's with someone else?
The thought fueled his rage even after he knows she is not like that but alcohol is taking over him.
Sid's bike screeched to a halt outside Kiana's apartment complex. He stumbled off, using the wall for support. With a focused effort, he located her apartment, his instincts guiding him.
He stood before her door, his fist clenched.
"Ki..." he called softly, knocking gently.
