Tanjiros POV : 

I go back to my house in the mountains after selling loads of charcoal! I hope it's enough so everyone can eat well.

Sniff sniff.. HUH?!? 

I run towards my house.. I smell blood! 

ROKUTA?!?

"WHAT HAPPENED ARE YOU OKAY?!?"

I look inside the house..

"Mom..Hanako..Shigeru..Rokuta.." 

There dead.. but where's Nezuko and Takeo m-maybe they escaped.. what even happened.. maybe a bear that couldn't hibernate..

"Is this your family?" I hear behind me.

I look back to see a man with a sword and a mismatched haori.

I grab my hatchet.

"I said.. is this your-" He says. He grabs my arm before I could "slash" him.. what he doesn't know is that I don't have the hatchet.

Sniff sniff.. the scent! It's.. different?!? He didn't do it..

"What's the matter with-" He says before he tilts his head to the side.

"U-um I'm sorry I didn't-.. I thought you-" I say before he interrupts me.

"You came at me.. then threw the hatchet.. you know you're a kid and that you had no chance in beating me.." He says while letting go of my arm.

"Is this your family?" He asks for the second and a half time.

"Y-yes." I say.

"I'm sorry. If only I've gotten here half a day sooner.." He says.

"Wh-what? Do you.. know what happened?" I ask.

"I'm a demon slayer. I hunt down demons. Your family here was killed by one." He says.

Demon?!? Slayers!?! Thats impossible.. then again my grandma and old man saburo did say something like that existed before.

"How.. how do I become one." I ask.

"You want to be a demon slayer?" He asks.

"Yes.. anything if it will avenge my family. I have a very good sense of smell. I can smell someone else was in this house." I say.

"Okay. I will train you." He says.

"Let's hurry them first." He continues.

"Um Mr.." I say.

"Tomioka." He says.

"Tomioka-san.. not all my family are here.. two of them. My little brother and sister they must have escaped.. is that possible?" I ask

"If they did then you are very lucky." He says.

Nezuko.. Takeo.. I will become a demon slayer and I will find you. I will avenge our family.
