Aurora Carrera is the twin sister of Kiara, and she epitomized the ideal child that Anna and Mike could have wished for, which in turn fostered jealousy in Kiara. Aurora excelled in ballet and complied with every instruction given to her.
However, unbeknownst to others, she was struggling internally. She often wept in her room, feeling trapped in a life she did not desire. Her true wish was to emulate her sister and socialize with the Pogues, particularly JJ Maybank, with whom she had developed a crush ever since Kiara introduced him to their home. Although she longed to engage with him, her shyness held her back. Additionally, she was in a relationship with Rafe Cameron, a union orchestrated by her father and Ward Cameron.
Aurora despised that relationship and felt animosity towards Rafe. During one of their dates, she mustered the courage to end things, much to her parents' initial dismay, though they soon accepted her decision.
On one occasion, while JJ was waiting for Kiara to join him and the Pogues, he noticed Aurora gazing at him. When she realized he was looking back, she quickly averted her gaze, creating an awkward moment. To break the tension, JJ asked, "You're dating Rafe, right?" Aurora felt her cheeks flush. Not wanting to appear rude, she replied, "We broke up two days ago." JJ smirked and chuckled, saying, "I've never liked him, so you're fortunate to have ended it." A smile spread across Aurora's face, and she let out a snort while covering her mouth.
