        Chapter 1 ~ Getting Noticed

               When I first wake up I see pink everywhere, Its horrible my mom made me paint it over the summer because she says I should act more like a girl. The room haunts me every night before I sleep and when I wake up. It's just a blinding sight, Ugh Pink! I hate Pink. It's now morning and I have to get ready and go to school. I sigh and start getting ready. I quickly take a shower and pull on my skinny jeans with a white take top and a sweater. I brush my hair grab my books and head downstairs for breakfast. 

" Mmm, breakfast looks great mom" I tell my mom, I grab some toast a banana, give my mom a kiss and I'm out the door. 

" Hey, do you go to Beverly hills high? " A person asked me. I turned around and saw a guy my age with dark brown hair and hazel eyes. 

"Y-yeah, I do" I stuttered and then gained my confidence back.

" Well if you don't mind would you want to walk me there cause I don't know where it is and my car hasn't arrived yet." 

"Sure lets go" I said with confidence. 

I was going to grab penny but instead I didnt and started heading to school. Penny is my bike I love her. I know I'm pathetic but since I can't have a car yet penny will just have to do.

" So are you new here" I asked the guy.

" Yeah we just moved from Arizona, for my dad's buisness, and I think I'm your neighbour"

" yup your my neighbour all right, oh by the way I'm Addison, Addison River but call me Addie" I said sticking out my hand.

"Nice to meet you Addie, I'm Alec Ryder" He said grabbing my hand and shaking it.

"Nice to meet you too Alec" As soon as I we got to school I showed Alec the office and headed to my locker to grab my stuff.

"Addieeee, oh how I missed you bestie" says Ash giving me a hug. Ashley is my best friends. She was away for the summer visiting her grandparents. Her names Ashley but I like calling her Ash and she doesn't mind. She's the complete opposite of me, she's really girly and wears pink all the time. Like litterly all the time. My mom wants me to be like her thats why my room is now pink. 

" I missed you too Ash, and guess what now my room is pink, ugh I hate pink!!!" 

" Omg that's awesome Addie we need to update your wardrobe next!!!" The thing I hate next to the color pink is shopping!! Just then the bell rings. 

" We have the same literature class let's walk together Addie"

"Yeah whatever" 

The first class I have is literature with Mr. Walker me and Ash have the same literature class and we sit next to each other. Rebecca my other best friend comes and takes a seat next to us. We sit in the middle at the classroom so we're not at the front or the back. Our teacher wasn't here yet so people were just talking and finding a place to sit. 

" Addie, Ashley I missed you guys, oh and did you hear Drake and Josh are here this year as well" Rebecca has had a huge crush on Drake since I can remember. And Ash had one on Josh. Speaking of Devils the 2 boys walk in with their new leader a boy with Dark brown hair and hazel eyes. That's Alec between Drake and Josh I wondered how he found friends that fast. 

"That one is new he's Alec" Rebbeca whispered. She pointed to Alec. His eyes and mine met and he mouthed something to me and then winked. Just then Chloe walked in the Queen bee Or should I say major loser. 

"Hey there ugly" she said as she dropped her chocolate frapacino on my head. At this point I didn't know what to do because everyone was laughing and my best friends were too shocked to do anything. So I grabbed my stuff and ran. How dare she do that? I thought as I rushed to the bathroom with hot tears spilling down my cheeks. How dare she do that on the first day? She had been bullying me since I can remember, because of a small little thing. In grade one we we're best friends and we did everything together we had to choose a group and I liked this guy and choose him while she liked him too. I choose him to be in my group for once and then after that she bullied me nonstop. I looked in the mirror at myself. There were hot tears running down my cheeks and my hair was a mess there was chocolate frapachino dripping down my hair and my white tank top was now brown and splattered with the drink. Just then Alec came into the girls bathroom.

"What...are...you...doing...here?" I said between sobs.

"Shhh, it's going to be okay" He said grabbing some paper towels and wiping off the chocolate frapachino that was dripping of my head. When he was done he wiped my tears and pulled me into a hug. I let the scent of him seep in and sothe me.
