You drop through the portal
The air is icy, hurting your lungs slightly as you breath
You look around and see the snow on the ground, a castle in the distance
"Well, least I know where I'm going at least" you say dryly
You start the long walk towards the castle, the snow slipping into your boots slightly
You get to the small town, noticing how the people's clothes were dirty and run down,
It was honestly depressing
"Guess I know where the main character comes from now..." you say, your voice stiff and uncomfortable
A child runs out, grabbing your pants leg, scared
You look down confused "are you okay?" You asked, concerned as why this child had a death grip on your leg
A man ran out, yelling what you guessed as the child's name staring daggers at you
"Hey man, calm down I don't wanna fight" you say warily, putting yourself between you and the kid
He looked at you, face flushed and red, yelling profanities at you
You sighed, not in a good mood from not finishing your breakfast, having to do another mission so soon, and being woken up in a horrible way
You just punched him, hitting his jaw hard and knocking him out real quick
The kid looked up at you in awe
"Get going kid, I can't stick around for long" you stated, looking down at the kid, patting their head slightly
They nod before running off, disappearing behind the buildings soon
You let out a breath you didn't even know you were holding
"This storyline better be interesting..." you mumble, walking towards the castle
