"Okay, remember the rules, take off your shoes and socks when you come in, hug with Mom and shake hands with Dad—" Felix instructed, his voice slightly shaky, his heart racing in excitement and nervousness.

Hyunjin smiled, softly placing a hand on Felix's neck. "I remember. Just breathe, angel. Everything's going to be alright."

Felix took a deep breath, trying to steady himself. "And you have to call me Lix, no nicknames, okay?"

"Got it," Hyunjin replied, grinning. "Lix it is."

As they approached the front door, Felix's heart raced. "What if they don't like you?" he muttered, glancing up at Hyunjin with wide eyes.

"Well... let's not focus on that," Hyunjin said. "I'm sure everything will go as smooth as butter." He leaned in, giving Felix a gentle peck on the cheek.

Felix took another deep breath as Hyunjin knocked lightly on the door, and after a moment, it swung open to reveal Felix's mom, a warm smile lighting up her face.

"Felix! You're here! And you must be Hyunjin!" she exclaimed, enveloping them both in a hug.

"Good evening, Mrs. Lee, It's such a pleasure to meet you," Hyunjin replied with a gentle tone. Felix's dad appeared next, extending his hand. "Good to finally put a face to the name. Welcome, Hyunjin."

Hyunjin shook his hand firmly. "Thank you, sir. I've heard a lot about you."

"Only good things, I hope," Felix's dad said with a chuckle.

"Absolutely," Hyunjin said, flashing a confident smile.

As they stepped inside, Felix felt a wave of warmth and nervousness wash over him.

As they settled at the dining table, Felix's mom brought out a load of food, her eyes twinkling as she placed a big dish of Felix's favourite, kimchi stew, in the centre. "I made sure to cook enough for everyone, especially since Felix said you have a good appetite, Hyunjin," she said with a warm smile.

"Thank you, Mrs. Lee. This looks and smells incredible," Hyunjin replied, glancing at Felix with a look that said, 'Are you seeing how sweet your mom is?'

Felix, in pride, picked up his chopsticks, but his hands were still slightly shaky. Hyunjin noticed and gave him a warm smile, subtly nudging his foot against Felix's under the table in a reassuring gesture. "So, Hyunjin," Felix's dad started, setting his spoon down, "what do you do for a living? Felix mentioned you're an artist."

"Yes, sir, I am," Hyunjin replied. "I mostly do painting and some digital art. Felix has been a big inspiration for a lot of my work."

Felix's mom looked delighted. "How wonderful! Felix mentioned you're very talented. I'd love to see your work sometime."

"I'd be honoured to show you," Hyunjin said with a smile. "Felix has been my inspiration for quite a few pieces, actually. He's got this light in him—just brings life to everything."

Felix's cheeks flushed pink as he coughed, caught a little off guard by Hyunjin's comment.

Felix's dad chuckled. "Well, as long as you're treating our boy well, that's what matters." He leaned forward, looking Hyunjin in the eye, his tone kind and firm. "Felix means the world to us, you know."

Hyunjin's expression softened, and he met Mr. Lee's gaze sincerely, even though his heart was racing. "I understand, sir. I'll always do my best to take care of him."

Felix's mom caught his gaze and smiled warmly. "Hyunjin, dear, would you like some more rice?"

As they continued eating, Hyunjin could feel the warmth of the conversation growing. Felix's mom, Mrs. Lee, had an infectious energy as she kept asking him questions about his art and life. "You know," she said, setting down her chopsticks for a moment, "Felix used to draw all the time when he was younger. I'm sure your art is a big influence on him."
