After a day filled with laughter and bittersweet memories, I.N. found himself alone on the train ride back to Seoul. The joyous moments he'd shared with Han and Felix began to fade, replaced by a gnawing hunger that had been quietly building since he left Busan. His new body craved something primal, a desire he had yet to fully understand or control. He clenched his fists, willing himself to suppress the urge that threatened to overwhelm him.

As the train rocked gently along the tracks, I.N.'s breaths quickened. He leaned against the cool glass of the window, watching the scenery blur by, trying to distract himself from the craving clawing at his insides. But it was no use; each stop brought a wave of desperation. He reached for his phone, fingers trembling as he dialed Hyunjin's number.

"Hyunjin," I.N. gasped as soon as he heard his voice, breathless and frantic. "I need you. I... I was in Busan, and it's getting harder to hold it back."

There was a pause on the other end, and I.N. could almost hear the irritation bubbling up in Hyunjin's silence. "What did I tell you about being careful?" he snapped, a hint of worry creeping through his tone. "Someone will pick you up from the station. Just stay put."

"I'm sorry," I.N. stammered, his heart racing. "I didn't mean to—"

"Just hang tight," Hyunjin interrupted, his voice steadying. "I'll make sure you're taken care of."

When I.N. stepped off the train, the cool night air was a stark contrast to the heat rising within him. He scanned the crowd for a familiar face and soon spotted the doctor standing nearby, a blood package in hand. Relief washed over I.N. as he rushed towards him, the scent of the blood igniting his senses.

"Thank you," he breathed, the hunger almost overwhelming as the doctor helped him with a gentle lift to the flat. "Where's Hyunjin?"

The doctor glanced at him, a mixture of concern and empathy in his eyes. "He saved a few people like you, but there was a case of one running away. Now he's worried about helping you. Hyunjin can be a difficult person, but he's smart."

"I need him," I.N. admitted, biting his lip. "He makes me feel... safe."

The doctor chuckled softly. "Safe, huh? How old do you think he is?"

I.N. furrowed his brow. "I don't know... older than he looks?"

"Over a hundred for sure," the doctor replied, a hint of amusement in his tone. "He's been around for quite some time."

"Wow," I.N. said, his mind racing. "Thank you for bringing me back. I appreciate it."

Once they reached the flat, I.N. felt a sense of urgency to find Hyunjin. He needed to see him, to feel that reassuring presence. As he stepped into Hyunjin's room, he was taken aback by the sight of a painting hanging on the wall. It depicted a young man from the 1920s, his white hair framing a charming face adorned with freckles and a radiant smile. He held a delicate flower, eyes sparkling with life.

Underneath, the name "Mae" was written in elegant script. I.N. couldn't help but wonder who this man was and why Hyunjin still kept his picture. The warmth of the room enveloped him, and I.N. felt a pull towards the sheets on Hyunjin's bed. He sank into the softness, the scent of the fabric soothing him.

Exhaustion washed over him, and before he knew it, I.N. succumbed to sleep, the day's events blending into dreams that danced on the edge of consciousness.

Unbeknownst to him, Hyunjin was out, his mind heavy with thoughts of I.N. and the bond they were slowly forming. As the night deepened, I.N.'s dreams began to weave tales of adventure and longing, while shadows of his new reality loomed over him. The warmth of Hyunjin's presence lingered in his mind, a flicker of hope in the darkness he now faced as a vampire.
