The early morning light filters softly through the sheer curtains, casting a gentle, golden glow over Jess's room. The rays of sunlight create delicate patterns on the walls, giving the room a warm, almost ethereal quality. The remnants of last night's party are scattered around—empty glasses clutter the nightstand, and stray decorations lie crumpled on the floor. Streamers hang limply from the ceiling, and a few forgotten party hats are strewn across the dresser.

Despite the late-night festivities, the house is eerily quiet now, save for the occasional creak of the floorboards. The silence feels almost tangible, a stark contrast to the lively chaos that filled these halls just hours ago.

After savoring the pancakes Jungkook made for me, I tiptoed back to Jess's room, careful not to disturb the serene silence that had settled over the house. The comforting scent of syrup and butter still lingered, trailing after me. Not wanting to disturb the others, I left the double bed to Sophie and Jess, choosing instead to spread a cozy blanket over the mattress on the floor.

The faint hum of early morning birds reaches my ears, their melodic chirping a gentle reminder that the day has begun. I pull the blanket over my head, burrowing into its warmth, desperate for a few more precious minutes of rest.

Just as I begin to drift off again, the door creaks open, and I hear the unmistakable sound of footsteps—light and careful—crossing the room. They stop right beside my mattress, and I can feel a presence looming over me. I squeeze my eyes shut, feigning sleep, and hope whoever it is will take the hint and leave me be.

"Nare," comes a soft whisper, Jungkook's voice cutting through the silence with gentle urgency. His tone has a mix of amusement and insistence, and I know he won't leave until I respond.

I groan, pulling the blanket tighter around me, cocooning myself against his intrusion. "Go away," I mutter, my voice muffled and groggy beneath the layers of fabric.

He chuckles softly, the sound warm and familiar, as he crouches down beside me. "Come on, it's time to get up," he insists, his breath tickling the edge of the blanket.

I peek out from under the blanket, squinting at him through bleary eyes. "Why are you up. It's still so early," I whisper back, irritation lacing my voice and heavy in my sleepy gaze.

"I always wake up early. You know that," he replies, a mischievous glint in his eye. "Besides, I thought you might want some company." His grin is infectious, even in my sleepy state.

I roll my eyes dramatically as I sit up, rubbing the sleep from my eyes with the back of my hand. "And you thought waking me up was the best way to offer your company?" I retort, my voice dripping with sarcasm.

He shrugs, completely unfazed by my sarcasm. "Come on," he urges, his tone light and coaxing. "Let's grab some breakfast before everyone else wakes up."

I glance over at the bed where Sophie and Jess are still sound asleep, their soft, rhythmic breathing the only sign of life in the room. "Fine," I whisper back, throwing off the blanket and stretching my stiff limbs. "But you owe me coffee. And lots of it."

"Deal," Jungkook whispers, amusement dancing in his eyes. "You'll need it anyway," he adds with a cryptic smile, his tone teasingly ominous.

I catch his last words and freeze, my eyes narrowing suspiciously. "What do you mean by that?" I ask, my curiosity piqued and caution evident in my voice.

Jungkook shrugs casually, a mischievous smile tugging at the corners of his lips. "Nothing important. Just follow me," he says, his voice nonchalant but the glint in his eyes betraying his amusement.

I stay firmly planted on my makeshift bed, my gaze locked on him. "No, seriously. What do you need?" I demand, refusing to let him off the hook so easily.
