"It was you, wasn't it?" Jimin said eyeing Taehyung, "What are you talking about?" Taehyung said while making a clueless face making Jimin scoff,
"Drop the act, why is she here?" Jimin said with a straight face,
"Because you are in love with her" Taehyung said with a duh look,
"No, I am not" Jimin denied in a breathy whisper, "you realize you were staring at her" Taehyung said while crossing his arms over his chest as the they heard laughter behind them making them turn,
Y/n with her friends coming towards the main hall, her hair and dress fixed now, while Jimin got lost in her laughter,
He heard Taehyung whispering something to him, "You realize you are currently staring at her?"
Jimin forced himself to pull his gaze away "I was staring at the wall. Behind her"
"Park Jimin that's the lamest excuse you've made" Taehyung said with a done face with a sigh he kept a hand on Jimin's shoulder he said,
"Don't fight it Jimin" with that he made his way to join people to dance,
Jimin's gaze again shifted towards Y/n noticing her going to the dance circle with her friends, unconsciously Jimin made his way to the dance circle as well,
The hall is filled with music and people cheering, Jimin joined a middle-aged lady for the dance in the same dancing circle as Y/n,
As he gave the lady a respectful bow and begun dancing, from the corner of his eyes he noticed Y/n dancing with a guy and immediately tried to shake off the feeling of jealousy,
"She's pretty" said the middle-aged women while smiling at Jimin, "Pardon?" Jimin looking away from Y/n
"Your girlfriend, she's pretty," said the lady "Ah, she's not my girlfriend" Jimin replied,
"I see" said the lady while Jimin twirled her, "Make her your girlfriend, I think you both will look great together" The lady said while wiggling her eyebrows making Jimin let out a sot chuckle,
"You think so?" Jimin said with a small smile "Oh definitely" The lady replied with a big smile,
"Then I should make her my girlfriend I guess" Jimin said shrugging his shoulders, "You know me and my husband fell in love years ago in a ball dance like this" The lady said remembering days of her early youth,
"Oh, he's one lucky man having a great dancer as his wife" Jimin said with a smile, "Oh that he is" she said with a sassy smile making him chuckle, "And you dance pretty good too" the lady complimented Jimin "Thank you Mrs...? " "Elda Anderson" She replied'
"Right Mrs. Anderson, I am Park Jimin" Jimin said while Mrs. Anderson smiled and said, "Now we are about to switch partners and my partner's going to be Mr. Anderson and yours is going to be her" Mrs. Anderson said with a teasing smile and Jimin immediately understood what she meant making a small smirk appear on his lips,
"It was great pleasure dancing with you Mrs. Anderson" Jimin said with a small smile, "You too, young man" and with a final twirl they switched partners,
Finally,
As Y/n twirled and came face to face with Jimin in his arms, her breath hitched, as Jimin twirled her they started dancing,
His one hand on her waist and one holding her right hand while Y/n's left hand was resting on Jimin's shoulder, the intensity of Jimin's gaze made blood rush to Y/n's cheeks as she looked in his eyes, getting lost in them,
Jimin noticing her blush smirked a little, "Park Jimin" he said tilting his face a bit, hearing his voice and having him this close was making Y/n nervous "Ch-Choi Y/n" she replied,
"You seem nervous Ms. Choi", Jimin whispered in a deep voice making butterflies erupt in Y/n's stomach, "I am not", she mumbled looking down not being able to handle his gaze,
"Is that so?" Jimin teased as he twirled her this time pulling her more closer making her let out a shaky breath, as they swayed in each other's arms Y/n's heart beating at an uncontrollable pace,
Her nervous face made Jimin want to provoke her more, to let her guard down, "I must say, you're pretty good at dancing" Jimin murmured, "Thanks, you're good yourself" Y/n said taking in the compliment, the tension between them keeps growing,
She flinched as she felt him trailing his fingers to her back, his touch sending shivers down her spine, "Mr. Park-" her words get cut off "Jimin" he whispered in her ears making her close her eyes while she let out a sharp breath,
The lights of the hall dim now as more people joined filling the hall with music and cheers of enjoyment, as Jimin spin Y/n making her dress twirl, pulling her closer
Their feet glided across the polished floor, creating a dance that was both effortless and intimate, with every turn and dip their eyes met, sharing unspoken words, "Did I mention you look the prettiest here?" Jimin said suddenly making her face flush, "Do I see you blushing?" Jimin said with a teasing smirk,
"I don't usually do this" Y/n said looking in his eyes, "Do what?" Jimin inquired with a hint of confusion, "Dance with flirtatious strangers" Y/n said with a hint of mischief,
Her words made Jimin pull her closer by her waist and lean towards her ear making her hold her breath as he whispered, "Trust me Y/n you are bringing out this flirtatious side of me"
She got goosebumps hearing his horse yet calm voice, they stayed close to each other she felt his breath against her ear somehow finding comfort in this closeness with him, "D-Don't you think you are too close?" she stuttered, "Yes and you don't seem to fight it", he murmured
"Please..."Y/n whispered with close eyes, "Please what?" He whispered leaning closer, this time his lips touching her ear making her flinch and excited at the new feeling,
"I...", she said s her breathing is getting heavy and her heart beating faster than ever, "You? "Jimin said against her ear,
The music paused and the dim hall light up again echoing with claps of people, but they stayed close to each other, Y/n's eyes closed taking in the newfound feeling, finally coming back to their senses they slowly pulled away from each other,
As Jimin pulled away from Y/n she immediately found herself missing his warmth, still looking into his intense eyes she couldn't help but feel shy, as she looked down
Suddenly she flinched when she felt a hand grabbing hers as she looked up to see Jimin bringing her hand closer to his lips, placing a gentle kiss on her hand sending sparks through her body making her gasp, "It was a pleasure dancing with you" he said with a smirk before disappearing in the crowd leaving her with this alien feeling of want and something she couldn't quite put her finger on.
