It was a Friday night, and Aiden and James were getting ready to head to their friend Lake's place for a game night. They had been looking forward to it all week, They loved hanging out with Lake and this time, Mariana, Lake's girlfriend will also be there, a real legendary group of friends

"You ready to dominate Aiden ?" James said while giving Aiden a playful nudge as they grabbed snacks to bring along.

"You know it" Aiden laughed "Let’s see who will be the champion by the end of the night"

They arrived at Lake's house with Mariana already sitting and waiting in the couch. "Aiden, James, you're finally here!"
Aiden was so happy to see Lake but was concerned that Rosa wasn't here "Aww, Rosa won't join us?" Aiden asked
Lake answered "Sadly no, her sister wasn't with her and she couldn't leave Sofia alone, so she decided to stay"

James spoke with a disappointed tone, "Damn, well, I hope she joins us next time" Despite being disappointed about the news, they didn't let that ruin the night and James, the self-proclaimed game master, clapped his hands when entering the living room "But anyways, let's not let that ruin our night, We’re about to start the first round of trivia"

They quickly formed two teams named after their shipname "Jaiden vs Marialake" they barely have time to settle before the questions started flying. The two couples exchanged a quick and determined look to their partners, each of them ready to win. They went through the first few rounds, laughing at some of the more absurd answers and cheering when they got things right

As the night went on, the group rotated through a mix of games of all kinds, some were strategic while some were pure luck, and a few, like charades, that had everyone in stitches. James was terrible at charades, which Aiden found so funny.

"Alright, last round, James!" Aiden cheered as James awkwardly tried to act out a "Walrus" for the team. He clapped his hand with a leg up and a duck face, making everyone burst into laughter and making them remember that kind of imitation back in All-stars

Aiden jokingly said the same answer as Miriam back then "Uh, this isn't one of those TikTok dances, is it?"

Before letting James talk accidentally again, he quickly answered "Kidding, it's a walrus"

"Correct!" James exclaims "My baby is so smart!"

Aiden laughed "Yeah well, if it weren't for All-stars, I wouldn't have guessed it" James pretends to be mocked but smiled afterwards "Fair point"

After the games, they moved to the kitchen, setting up food in their plates with chips, wings and some homemade dips that the two girls had prepared together. Aiden pilled James' plate with all of his favorites and so did James with Aiden's

As they ate, an idea popped on James' mind "Hey! Let's take a group selfie together to commemorate our game night" They all squeezed together on the couch, everyone laughing as they tried to fit into the shot. Right before the timer went off, Aiden and Mariana leaned and gave their respective partners a little kiss on their cheek, making them blush a bit since they clearly didn't expect that surprise kiss just as the camera clicked

They all smile at the look photo "Aww, we look so cute together" Lake stated

Aiden answered "We do, and the best thing is that, when I see this picture, it makes me grateful about how much I'm lucky to have you all"

James smiled and he hears that "Aww, come here you" He hugs Aiden so tightly and kisses his lips

Mariana whispered at Lake "They look adorable juntos"

Lake whispered back "Hehe, They do!"

After hours of games and food, everyone was relaxing, chatting about their plans for the weekend and their favorite moments of this game night. James looked over at Aiden, catching his eye as they shared a soft smile.

"You know" James muttered with Aiden still in his embrace "I’d say we’re pretty lucky, we have Friends, food, and you by my side, Couldn’t ask for a better night"

"So do I babe, so do I" Aiden answered with a soft smile

James squeezed Aiden tightly, he loves having Aiden by his side. The games might have been over, but the laughter, the warmth, and the love they shared were what mattered the most in the end
