d e m o n s l a y e r: distress signal

scenario: you went on a solo mission, nothing from the unusual. everything went well but just as you are about to wrap up the mission, upper moon 5 (not gyokko) appeared. as a distress signal you sent your crow, but deep down you know, that no one is going to make it in time. you're only hope is the daylight. (scenario may be slightly different for certain characters)

kamado tanjiro
- all you wanted to do was run away, but you knew that you stood no chance if you're running away. the only chance, even a very slim chance at that, was to fight.
- the demon toyed with you but soon he realised, that you had some skill so he wanted to finish you off. with every attack the demon unleashed, you grew more tired but also more aware of the movement the demon did. you got used to the attack power of the demon and could dodge his attacks easily.
- after hours of going back and forth, you landing slashes at him, him scratching your body open, you were at your limit. the demon started playing serious , you pushed back with equal power.
- you were about to give up, but you saw the sun slowly rising. then you thought about tanjiro and how your death would hurt him, and how he would blame himself. you couldn't let that happen, so you gathered all your strength, frustration and anger and unleashed one last attack on the demon, who didn't expect this strength. even before the sun fully rose, the demons head tumbled on the floor and you passed out next to it.

- when the crow arrived and informed of the attack of the upper moon 5 on you, sanemi, who was eager to finally encounter an upper moon, rengoku and tanjiro, who had to come because of you, rushed to the place, where the crow led them.
- all the way there, tanjiro was worried. an upper moon fighting you? you must be exhausted and scared.
- at the time they arrived, he had tears in his eyes.
- imagine the look of pure shock on their faces, when they saw you slaying that demon with pure determination on your face.
- in that moment tanjiro felt so proud of you, but it was replaced rather quickly, when you collapsed next to the slayed demon.
- he sprinted to your side while crying and checking on you. tanjiro carried you the entire way to the butterfly mansion, even when rengoku volunteered to take you half of the way.

shinazugawa sanemi
- fighting an upper moon was not on your list. he was sly and constantly tested your reflexes. you needed time to get used to his attack but as you did, you started landing blows on him too.
- the demon was taken aback by it. he judged you to be easy prey, just a little snack. normally he could kill anyone with just his fighting techniques, but you proved to be quite the challenge, so he was forced to use his blood demon art.
- he made you watch your family's death all over again, even more gruesome than before now that your grown up. next he showed you all your loved ones hating you, judging you for the things you did. his plan was to break you mentally, so when it was time to kill you, you would beg for it.
- mentally, you were on you limit. showing your loved ones resenting you was the last straw. with all your power you broke free from the illusion and used all your resentment, that was felt in the illusion, and all the anger, that you felt, and used it all against the demon. with one precise strike, you slashed the head off the demon, killing him.

- by the time your crow arrived at sanemis place, he was already worried sick. he knew your skills and he also knew, that the mission you were on was not going to be so long, so he was already ready to search for you.
- after being informed sanemi sprinted. it was more like he was leading the crow than the crow leading him.
- he was worried sick. he just hoped, that you can hold out till he was there or till sunrise, if it took him longer to get to you. he couldn't lose another important person to him.
- after sprinting 40 kilometres in a record time, sanemi arrived right when you slashed the demons head off. sanemi did, what he did not expect: he froze.
- it took him seeing you break down in tears to free himself from his frozen stance and run to you.
- at first you didn't notice, that sanemi was there, but when you felt his strong arms around you, you allowed yourself to feel safe after fighting for 3 hours straight. soon after, you passed out, leaving sanemi worried but also relieved, that you were alive.
